Our very first meal experience upon arriving in Benevento. It was mid afternoon and we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed one of the freshest, traditional and best meals in all our stay in Italy. Fabulous restaurant!

My wife, daughter and I went to this delightful place today. High quality with average prices for an excellent quality/price ratio. The owner was hospitable and friendly from the start. Everything was good and I especially recommend the braised meat which is truly exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Our vacation in Italy wouldn't have been the same without this place! As it was the second day of Easter, we couldn't find anything else open and we were very hungry! Luckily we found this little shop that doesn't quite catch your eye from the outside, but later on it definitely fills your belly with deliciousness! Beautiful and clean environment, smiling people and their handmade pasta is very, very delicious! Thank you very much!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and can say it was a truly exceptional experience! The authenticity of the dishes and the quality of the ingredients were immediately evident. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. The vast selection of typical products allowed us to discover new flavors and authentic culinary traditions.

Siamo stati a pranzo in famiglia e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il personale è stato gentile e il servizio veloce. I piatti erano abbondanti e ben cucinati, soprattutto la pasta e i secondi di carne. C’era anche un menù per bambini. Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo e ottimi dolci finali. Un posto che consigliamo e dove torneremo.

Locanda Radici di Angelo D'Amico

10/11/2025: Wonderful location. The restaurant is on a hill filled with olive trees. The terrace offers a stunning view. We dined in the winter, but I think it's at its best in the summer. We chose the "Radici" tasting menu for €65 per person. The delicious entrée perfectly captures the flavors of what you'll be eating. The chips with zucchini scapece are a delicacy. The crispy egg is the chef's signature dish; perfectly cooked, the mix of textures makes the dish fabulous. The pumpkin risotto was truly delicious; the licorice adds a touch unique to this dish. The manzetta (beef stew) is the dish that, in my opinion, surpassed the crispy egg: the meat melted in the mouth, and the vegetables and cardoncelli mushrooms had an authentic flavor. Latte, caffè e sambuca is an excellent dessert, as is the small pastry. The cream puff with Chantilly cream was a bit disappointing because of the unbalanced proportions and the dryness. The delicate cream didn't help the flavor. A top-notch service.

04/11/2025: It's nice to rediscover the beautiful origins from the fireplace to the old kitchen, all made with love in family tradition.
02/11/2025: Hiking with friends. We stopped for lunch. One of the hikers had lunch there years ago and had fond memories of it. The food was excellent. Traditional cuisine, a pleasure to rediscover. Friendly staff.
