Ristorante Il Pirata di Marettimo In Favignana

I ate at this restaurant for a whole week with my trekking friends and it was a great experience. Great availability of the owner who has always been able to respond to our needs, and a very good fish cuisine (coming from Genoa I know a little about it!). But the thing I will remember most is the excellent service: the two young waiters, Fabio and Qaid, knew how to serve us best with a mix of education, professionalism and friendliness that is really difficult to find elsewhere! Don't read the other reviews too much and... try it!

We arrived after returning from a boat tour at 2.30pm, but they still kindly sat us down. Too long to wait to order. Unwilling staff... we had ordered 2 dishes of busiate, only one arrives, and after asking after several minutes what happened to the other they reply that it will definitely be on its way; we wait a little longer, then I do what the girl with whom I had informed should have done, that is, I get up and go to ask directly at the cash register. Here too they tell me that it's coming, and actually after another fifteen minutes (in the meantime the others were already on their second course) the other busiate dish arrives... what can I say, they had certainly forgotten it! For the rest the food was good, very high prices, but considering the location, if at least the service had been up to par, it could have been there! Last but not least, the bathroom was out of order, not usable (to be honest, we were informed immediately before sitting down).

We eat very well. The tuna tartare was really very good. The children with the colored stones outside the place are very cute.

Everything was excellent from the starter to the bitters.

"The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But the strong point of the place is undoubtedly the cuisine. In this place you will have the opportunity to taste typical traditional products of the island of Marettimo with ingredients at km 0. Last night I tasted the Lobster Soup dish and it was an explosion of flavours. I highly recommend this place to all lovers of good food!"

We have been in Marettimo for three days and after having tried the pirate's cuisine we would not change it for anyone in the world, fresh food, refined tastes and top notch staff make it all an experience worth living. PS the lobster bisque is magnificent. .we highly recommend the place.

A fantastic culinary experience, if you want to eat well and pay the right amount you absolutely have to come, I've been eating for three days now, not drinking but very well, the staff is precise and attentive to customer needs. Absolutely worth trying

Excellent food and top location! We ate on the outdoor veranda which is very pretty, right on the marina with a sea view, very suggestive. Very kind staff who welcomed us even though it was after 2pm and there was no one else in the room or around the island. Wide choice of dishes, all delicious! Both the mixed fried and the grilled squid are exceptional. High prices but like everywhere on the island and in the neighboring islands, at least they were justified by the goodness of the food!
