Historic local restaurant, where the family both serve and cook. The menu can change daily depending on seasonal availability, and is written on a black board. The portions served are large and for most pilgrims. Simple but great quality, and very inexpensive.

2025 08 Excellent traditional trattoria with typical Lazio products, a wide selection of first and second courses listed on a blackboard as a menu. Excellent acqua cotta and "fried breaded beef fettinona," a huge, well-made and crispy cutlet. 8+ Excellent eggplant parmigiana. Delicious panna cotta desserts. We'll be back. Fair prices.

I dined at Pigno at least four years ago, but every year I promise myself I'll return, if only to try the famous Viterbo-style acqua pazza soup and the tiramisu, one of the best I've ever eaten. I don't remember exactly what the other diners had, but I do remember that everyone was satisfied at the end of the meal, and that years later we still remember it with nostalgia. The atmosphere is rustic, a bit retro, and the space is spacious. The service is discreet and fast. The prices are fair and clearly displayed on the blackboard at the entrance. Definitely worth a try.

15/06/2025: The dishes are good and there is a wide choice for both meat and fish eaters. As a vegetarian option there are gnocchi with sauce and fettuccine with mushrooms and various side dishes. I give a “low” rating for the service, the waiters were not exactly kind, several times they responded rudely and annoyed. The location is rustic and quiet with a view of the lake. Prices overall a little above average.
10/04/2025: A pleasant characteristic place near Lake Vico, beach suitable for children...eating and simple, approachable staff. To be recommended. Thank you.

05/11/2025: A nice restaurant in a quiet location right on the lake. Service and food were very good. The restaurant's decor is rather simple.
11/10/2025: Very good food, friendly service, German spoken, ducks and beavers playing around you, very funny. We will be back.
