Ristorante Il Girasole In Assisi

08/12/2024: We were traveling and took a little detour to have lunch at this place. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff and the food...it all feels like being at home...everything good, the right portions and a welcoming environment. If we happen to pass through those parts again we will definitely stop. They left an excellent memory in us! Super recommended!!!!!

07/12/2024: I went to this restaurant after reading the very positive reviews. Let me start by saying that I had a good time, the staff is kind and helpful, the environment is welcoming, as a restaurant should be. The food partly disappointed me a little: the starter was very good, varied, tasty and of high quality, the first courses were less good, umbricelli with mushrooms and porcini mushrooms, where instead of finding mushrooms or pieces of mushrooms, the sauce seemed like a mushroom smoothie, a mush while the umbricelli seemed homemade and well cooked. Even the umbricelli carbonara (errata corrige, Norcina style) with truffle didn't really convince me, lots of fresh cream and poorly mixed ingredients.
