Ristorante il Gabbiano Marotta In Fano

150 meters from here, on the shoreline where the Adriatic meets Marotta, a small wader—a solitary Kentish Plover—waddles across the sand, searching for good food. We, a short distance away, have already found our "nourishment" at the "Il Gabbiano" restaurant, in this seaside town halfway between Fano and Senigallia. A bright veranda welcomes us, but we choose a table in the spacious dining room. The service is quick and attentive, the atmosphere pleasant and simple. Upon entering, we glimpsed generous dishes and ordered accordingly. The approach proved to be the right one. Here, pleasure and goodness happily combine in beautiful and appetizing quantities! We ordered spaghetti with seafood and fried mixed seafood. The former was well-executed and released the ancestral aromas we had hoped for onto the table. Delicious and very filling. The second arrived later (after we'd already enjoyed the first), savory, hot, and inviting. Delicious and light, in its crispy batter (but not overpowering, especially on fish with bones) and cooked in oil with no unpleasant aftertaste...from "wear and tear." We had a great time at a truly affordable price, concluding our "trip" with a stroll along the long Marotta beach. (Which requires some effort, looking for the underpass over the railway, which runs very close to the water here.)

After hearing about it several times, I decided to try making a reservation for dinner with my partner. We arrived and were warmly welcomed, and were given a choice of available tables. When making the reservation, I was told that since it was peak time, we might have to wait for service, but everything was fine. For the main courses, we ordered a portion of "chicche del marinaio" (salmon and shrimp gnocchi) and a mixed fried fish dish, all very good and well-seasoned. Nothing gourmet, but who cares. In conclusion, I liked it and will keep it in mind for a return visit. The prices are average, except that the portions are large enough for two, so the final bill is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Il Gabbiano restaurant in Marotta definitely makes an impression! Generous portions and everything was delicious, fresh fish, and the service was courteous and fast. Excellent and dry fried food. Well-seasoned first courses. The bill was the icing on the cake, very fair! If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely go there again. Definitely recommended! I also recommend booking at least the day before; it's not very big.

Well, I think that in these times we're living in, finding a place that serves good food at a low price isn't easy. And when I say low price, I'm not talking about poor quality. I don't understand how they manage to stay afloat in a country with some of the highest taxes in the world. You can feel their passion for what they do; you can tell they work with love because that's the only way I can explain such low prices for such high-quality seafood. That doesn't even exist in my country, which has two oceans and abundant seafood. Thank you, Gabbiano di Marotta.

It's always very satisfying! Everything is delicious and plentiful. For me, it will always be the King of Mussels!!!

We didn't stay, but we did eat at the restaurant. What can I say? The entire staff gave us a warm welcome, especially Giordano, who made us feel at home. Excellent food for the price. The mussel stew is highly recommended, and is worth the whole meal. We'll definitely be back.

Good food and generous portions. We ate the scialatielli allo scoglio and the octopus salad, perhaps it could be improved a little.
