18/01/2026: ATTENTION... don't confuse this restaurant with the "copycat" one, the one a few kilometers away that has a similar name but has NOTHING to do with this one in the center of Urgnano and serves Bergamo delicacies. Nothing against the Sicilian one (I'm Sicilian!), but I'm pissed off by what happened to me last week: I booked this one and, because of a near-identical name, ended up at the other one, where I ate decently, but nothing like this one.
Having said that, I enjoyed REAL Bergamo cuisine, eating generous and succulent portions. The service was exceptional and the prices were reasonable, so we ate there.
The place is really cute and quaint, and you really feel at home.
Highly recommended!!
Watch your GPS... this is the one on VIA MATTEOTTI!!
27/12/2025: A few kilometers from Brescia, I spent Christmas Eve dinner...
The place is very, very welcoming, in classic osteria style, seating 50. The brick vaults and candles on the tables create an intimate and unique atmosphere. Luca and his wife welcome you with a smile, and between one joke and another, the appetizers and main courses arrive.
The portions are "REALLY" generous and delicious, everything is freshly made. The cold cuts and cheese platter releases a scent that entices you to try it, but unlike other places, you eat a lot here. The pasta dishes with their variations are an explosion of flavor, and the portions are truly gourmet. The main courses are simply amazing, and the polenta releases a flavor you won't forget.
Finally, coffee is served with sweets, a very rare treat that is loved by both adults and children. Luca and his wife stopped to chat. They're humble, kind, and very sweet with the little ones. You feel like you've known them for years, the way they make you feel at ease.
The price? Well, what can I say? Excellent! Believe me, you'll be pleasantly surprised!
It's definitely worth a visit with friends, a couple, or family.
I'll be back very soon with lots of friends to introduce them to Marcellino Pane e Vino...
