We really wanted to eat pasta on our vacation in Italy and looked for a good restaurant near Lake Garda. Since many restaurants in the area only offered pizza and since the recommendation in the Michelin Guide usually stands for top quality, we decided on this restaurant. We arrived and first had to approach the waiters themselves, who then showed us a seat. The ambience was fine. We sat outside on the terrace, which would actually be nice if there wasn't the constant traffic noise from the main street right next to it. We then ordered our pasta as the first course and the steak as the second course. The pasta was really good. There is no criticism from me here. The steak, however, was not cooked to our liking at all (ordered medium twice = medium rare; ordered well done once = medium). Since the staff was very inattentive, we had to approach the staff ourselves to point this out to them. The waitress tried to start a little discussion because she thought the meat had been cooked correctly, but we didn't get involved and just asked that the meat be put back on the grill. This was then done, after which the meat tasted just as we had imagined. The inattention of the staff also meant that five of us had to share a bottle of water for a long time. No asking if we wanted other drinks when the bottle was empty, no asking if we wanted a new one. Of course, in another restaurant I wouldn't weigh something like that quite as heavily. However, in an upscale restaurant that is listed in the Michelin Guide, I expect first-class service - after all, that's what I'm paying for.

The best restaurant in town! Excellent food, great service who speaks perfect English and can advise you on the selection of dishes and wines, great atmosphere, you can eat something other than just pizza!

Mi esposa y yo visitamos por primera vez para un almuerzo ligero pidiendo el risotto de camarones que era encantador y nos llevó a hacer una reserva para la noche siguiente. Aunque el risotto había sido agradable, no estábamos preparados para el estándar de la comida de la noche siguiente, que era fuera de este mundo! Mi entrante de tarta de berenjena con Burrata fue posiblemente lo mejor que he probado, mi esposa tenía pulpo a la parrilla, que también era increíblemente sabroso! Siguieron platos de pasta que no decepcionaron, mi esposa eligió los espaguetis de marisco y yo tagliatelle con crema y trufa. Ambos optamos por filetes de ternera para principal con patatas asadas de romero, filetes fueron cocinados a la perfección! No puedo recomendar lo suficiente para cualquiera que esté de vacaciones en Maderno o sus alrededores, pero tendrá que reservar, ya que la cantidad de entradas a pie que tuvo que ser rechazada en un miércoles por la noche era asombroso. Ambos estábamos adivinando cuánto sería la factura y nos sorprendió muy gratamente cuando entró menos de 50 € menos de nuestra suposición de 200 €, incluyendo una bonita botella de valpocelli.

Super tasty food and friendly service. We had not made a reservation and were still given a table on the terrace. We have a small dog and this was no problem. The terrace has a high hedge, but the busy traffic is sometimes disturbing.

Well cooked dishes, lake fish reigns supreme, a basic element in both the first and second courses. The service is also good.
