We spent a night here as a family while on a stopover. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms we had were small but very clean and pleasant. The surroundings are simply magnificent, with a breathtaking Italian garden overlooking Lake Varese. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was simple and delicious.

The rooms need some refurbishment, they feel a bit like church accommodation. But it makes sense historically. The building and the gardens are amazing and the staff is extremely kind. Recommended.

This building as history! It's so beautiful. But due to its age, there were some facility things that we would have liked to have seen. Primarily, lack of plugs for charging devices in the rooms. I know that sounds petty, but nowadays it's important as we were four in a room and we weren't able to charge all our devices for the sightseeing days ahead! Apart from that, everything was perfect. The grounds are beautiful, so well maintained with spectacular views of the lake in the distance. Perfect for an afternoon stroll. The breakfast service was clean and varied, and tasty! They serve from 6.30 to 10.00. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar is manned by the receptionist, at least when we went for one beer. But there was no issue! We had a lovely stay overall and would definitely return.

The staff of Villa Cagnola consistently go above and beyond to accommodate our needs, both indoors and in the lovely gardens. This year, our coffee mornings, the general assembly, charity bazaar, anniversary party, fashion show, dinner dance and club picnic, have all proceeded flawlessly, thanks to their impeccable service. Comfortable rooms, 24 hour reception, abundant breakfast, not far from Varese and not far from the train station, recommended!

Rooms are not that great, but if you’re looking for peaceful, stay, Villa cagnola offer that. I have given two star to Service because dinner is limited to the menu when some group has booked it.. otherwise, you have to go outside.
