An excellent restaurant discovered by chance on a weekend in Mantua. Meticulous service and food prepared with meticulous attention to detail, with a very professional and attentive staff. If we ever return to the city, this will definitely be our go-to place for a magnificent culinary treat!

Historic Michelin-starred restaurant in the center of Mantua, directly across from the Teatro Sociale. The atmosphere is intimate and meticulously maintained. The refined and welcoming ambience (very comfortable chairs) is refined. Excellent service, a selection of traditional dishes (ravioli and riso alla pilota) but mostly reinterpreted with local ingredients, is very good (we tried both the meat and fish specialties). Vegetarian options (which I tried) and gluten-free options are available. Easy access, on the ground floor. Parking is available, but keep in mind that the location is in Mantua's historic center. Highly recommended.

We returned, after several years, to this restaurant located in the historic center of Mantua, which reinterprets Mantuan tradition with a contemporary sensibility.
The à la carte menu and tasting menus alternate land and water, meat and fish, with a strong connection to the local area and seasonal ingredients.
Revisited classics of Gonzaga and Mantuan cuisine are served alongside more contemporary creations: bold aromas alternate with delicate notes.
The restaurant occupies the rooms of a historic building, with a refined yet warm atmosphere. The interiors blend classic elements (high ceilings, antique walls, period details) with modern, refined touches.
After the change of management from the Martini family to the Antoniazzi family, the reception area was slightly renovated and expanded, with a new dedicated counter.
The restaurant has retained its historic soul while establishing its own identity. The philosophy revolves around respect for Mantua's traditions, the search for the finest local ingredients, and the ability to blend past and present.
We tried pumpkin tortelli, Riso alla Pilota, guinea fowl livers and Lambrusco, beef bavette and potato millefeuille, and Torta di rose with pumpkin ice cream and zabaglione (the variation of the day), all truly delicious.
The service is professional and attentive (bonus), and the quality/price ratio is excellent.
Reservations are highly recommended.
We can't wait to return, even though we don't live in Mantua.
