IL CAMPO in Siena is a superb dining destination. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff create a memorable dining experience. We had lunch at Il Campo Bar il Palio in Siena and were pleasantly surprised by their warm welcome. Despite the lack of reservations, they managed to accommodate our group of 16 people for lunch. The dishes were tasty, especially the lasagna, which was delicious, and the pasta carbonara, which was perfectly cooked. The service was both pleasant and efficient, which made our experience even more pleasant. In addition, the restaurant enjoys an exceptional location, located in the heart of Piazza del Campo, facing the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico. An ideal setting to enjoy a good meal while admiring one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. An address to recommend for an authentic experience in Siena!

It was so nice to be able to eat while looking at the beautiful scenery! One of our staff members was really nice and the service was great. The food was delicious so I ordered another pizza haha.

We tried a few different places in the Piazza del Campo and this was by far the best. Good bruschetta and margarita pizza was awesome. Mixed side salad was huge and good.

The service was prompt and efficient. The food was generally good. The cocktails were very good. This particular shop is the same as bar il palio, so the cocktails were his. The pizza was good and the cheese and charcuterie platter average. The tiramisu we got was good. It's nice to sit here and see the square. Especially in the evening with the coolness and the breeze you relax and forget everything. Of course expensive.

Like most strategically located places, they know that they are going to have customers no matter what. This allows them to set the prices that they see fit. Pizzas at elaborate cuisine prices. The truffle one, very good. Small burrata salad. Expensive drinks. The dessert, selection of "typical desserts" seemed like a rip-off to me. For €9 they give you 4 split cookies. Not worth it. On the bill they added €3 for the cutlery. In short, 2 salads for 6, 3 pizzas and 2 desserts plus drinks about €30 per person.

Spaghetti vongole. It was tasty but there were very few shells on it. And they were very small.

Good restaurant right on the Campo in Siena.

In the main square in Siena so great views especially at night when we visited. Great place for people watching and enjoying a relaxing - but lively - evening meal. We shared an excellent salad and my wife had Sienese ragu and I had - never seen it before - a veal ‘knoc’ which was like a leg of lamb! Beautifully cooked and a great taste - well recommended. Had the miniature roast potato’s as well which were also very good. We had a lovely bottle of Rose (the first on the list) which was the lightest coloured rose we’ve ever had but it went down really well. All polished off with a Macchiato. A good choice in the square for people watching!
