The rooms are old, and the showers are not particularly pleasant, but considering the significance of staying in a historical building and having breakfast and dinner, the all-inclusive package was a good choice. Due to the schedule, I was only able to have dinner one day, but if possible, I would have liked to have dinner twice. The incredibly delicious breakfast is something to be had, and dinner goes without saying. Cannavacciolo was also very nice, and I became an even bigger fan.

I came especially from England, where I've lived for over 12 years, to celebrate my birthday with my partner at Villa Crespi restaurant, and I can say it was an experience I'll cherish forever. We chose the "Nel Nome del Gusto" tasting menu with wine pairing, and from the first course, it was an extraordinary sensory journey: an explosion of colors, aromas, and flavors that captivated me. Some dishes even transported me back in time, to my beloved grandmother's kitchen—a sweet and intense memory that only high-quality cuisine, crafted with love, can provide. I'm not a food critic or a food influencer; I love cooking, but above all, I love eating well. And I can say with absolute certainty that the quality and freshness of the ingredients were more than evident. Every dish told a story, every bite exuded passion. The location is simply enchanting: the majestic Moorish-style villa overlooking Lake Orta seems like something out of a dream. Every architectural detail, from the Moorish arches to the decorated ceilings, contributes to creating a timeless atmosphere, where elegance and warmth coexist in perfect harmony. The rooms are intimate and refined, meticulously designed, and the garden surrounding the villa conveys a sense of tranquility and absolute beauty. It's a place that speaks to the soul even before the palate. The service was impeccable: the entire staff stood out for their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. I felt pampered, welcomed as if by a large family, but with the elegance and discretion that only a special place can offer. Unbeknownst to me, my partner had mentioned in the reservation that it was my birthday and that I'm a big fan of Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo. When they brought me a cake with a candle before dessert, I couldn't help but be moved. A simple yet meaningful gesture, which encapsulates the soul of Villa Crespi: attention, care, and love for the customer. The evening concluded with an unexpected and unforgettable encounter: I had the honor of meeting the Chef. I confess that the emotion was so strong it left me speechless—a true culinary Stendhal syndrome! I couldn't thank him as much as I would have liked, so I hope these words reach him and his wonderful team: thank you for making this experience a dream. Villa Crespi is like a perfect orchestra: each person plays their instrument with passion, and under the direction of a great Maestro, together they create a harmony that envelops and uplifts you. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat anywhere else with the same wonder.

A unique experience of starred flavors, a wonderful view, and impeccable service.

The location is beautiful; the villa is stunning from the outside and beautifully maintained inside. The service is a bit rushed; you feel pressured; they clear the plates too quickly. The menu is very good, but nothing makes you want to return. The initial wait for a table was over 10 minutes with a reserved table—very unpleasant in a 3-star establishment. Finally, a 10-minute wait for the small pastry, accompanied by iced coffee, is another disappointment. In short, perfection isn't here.

We were guests at Villa Crespi for a romantic getaway, crowned by Chef Cannavacciuolo's "Mettici l'anima" tasting menu. There was nothing to complain about about the dinner; the three-star perfection was evident in every course. However, it would have been more refined and elegant to have the menu printed at the table, complete with the changes made (given that, since we both reported lactose intolerance, the menu we sampled was not the one listed online—and therefore printed at the table)—and, most importantly, without the price. As for our stay, the rooms are flawed in their furnishings, lack any soundproofing, and breakfast was a big no. In fact, despite reporting dietary restrictions (both at the time of booking and a week prior at the hotel's invitation), nothing was prepared without lactose. The buffet was completely devoid of any indication of ingredients and allergens, and of all the baked goods available, we were only able to eat one focaccia. At the end of breakfast, lactose-free desserts were brought to the table (probably as a last-minute solution), but it would certainly have been nicer to have them served directly at the table. Honestly, we expected more from a 5-star hotel. The location and the friendliness and kindness of the staff certainly make up for these shortcomings.

Sublime, incredible, wonderful!!! Everything was impeccable. We were personally welcomed and looked after throughout the lunch by Gennaro and Matteo (truly kind and helpful), who explained and explained in detail every dish and every glass of wine, engaging us in this amazing culinary journey!!! We were fortunate enough to meet the Chef, who was also truly helpful and approachable. Thank you!!! We hope to see you again to enjoy the winter menu.

A wonderful and unforgettable experience. We were treated to a sublime tasting dinner accompanied by excellent wines recommended by a sommelier. We stayed overnight in a charming lake-view suite, equipped with every comfort, in the attentive and discreet hands of impeccably professional staff. Everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely worth repeating.

We were very disappointed with our last stay. We paid twice as much for a Classic Room package (two nights and two dinners) as it was offered separately online at the time. Our inquiry was only answered after repeated requests...with irrelevant information such as the price of Alba truffles and "dynamic pricing based on demand." It's a shame, as we've stayed at Villa Crespi several times before and the service has always been excellent. But the price-performance ratio is no longer acceptable.

Disappointing cuisine, and a strange sommelier service. We ordered by the glass and wanted to start with a white wine. The wine was introduced and pour straight into our glass. It's the first time I encounter in a 3 Michelin star restaurant that do not offer the guest to taste the wine before they pour a full portion...especially it is their selection. Overly confident or just simply unprofessional.? We ordered a la carte - The turbot and sole dish are both cook in a low temperature method - not to our liking but that is personal ..... For breakfast- Excellent butter & excellent produce, amazing quality of Prosciutto & salami and cheese down to the coffee - breakfast was wonderful and is served until 1030am - and we linger a bit later and was informed politely that they're gonna set up for their lunch service next door at 10:40 but we have "10 minute" (?!) and stress they don't try to rush us ???!!!! (that for me is hypocritical) - I told him "10 minutes, won't make a difference " - never experience that in a Relais & Chateaux property either. I would not recommend.

We had lunch on Sunday, November 2nd, and it was exceptional in every way, from the service to the gastronomic journey we had the pleasure of enjoying—a true experience! Thanks again!
