If I could add another star, I would gladly. Our experience at Villa Crespi is one I would recommend to anyone. More than a pleasant lunch, it was a culinary journey that satisfies all the senses. The location and the professionalism of each employee are astonishing, making your stay unforgettable. The quality of the dishes is unquestionable, the presentation a constant coup de theatre.
The seamless interplay between the kitchen and the dining room manages to make time stand still.
The Chef's presence and affability, at the beginning and end of the "journey," is the icing on the cake.
At Villa Crespi, they truly put their heart and soul into it...applause to everyone, and see you soon.

After years of waiting, I returned to Cannavacciuolo just as Villa Crespi earned its third Michelin star: a much-celebrated achievement, among just over a dozen three-star restaurants in Italy. Expectations were sky-high: an experience that was both emotionally charged and gastronomically revolutionary. And yet…
Dream menu, €280 per person
Placement: impeccable in its usual excellence, a small taste that promises balance and sophistication.
Starters: good, well-executed, but not quite as impressive as expected.
The first course: a genuine surprise: a sensory astonishment, a perfect harmony of textures and flavors.
The Fassona main course: worthy, well-researched, and convincing.
The fish main course: unfortunately, a letdown: the smoked sauce was excessively dominant, resulting in a nauseating and unbalanced flavor.
Disappointing Sweetness
While waiting for a fresh pre-dessert to "cleanse" the palate, a Venetian hazelnut cream cake arrived: rich, perhaps too rich, poorly balanced for the expected context.
The desserts were unimpressive: the deconstructed cheesecake, which I had cherished as a gastronomic dream, was not presented with equal grace.
The babbamisu, visually, evoked neither allure nor emotion; it failed to impress, neither aesthetically nor in taste.
The final pastry was perceived as crude, listless, and in stark contrast to the attention to detail of my first visit.
Service and Ambience
The service was impeccable, professional, and friendly.
However, the maître d' showed some irritation when I mentioned the discomfort in the red room: too crowded, stuffy, hot, and unpleasantly odorous. Table changes were denied because the restaurant was full; they simply let in air and opened the windows.
The rooms, described as the yellow, blue, and red rooms, each with a distinct character in the Moorish Villa, should offer a refined experience; however, the indoor room proved perhaps unsuitable for the summer heat.

Ho avuto il piacere di cenare a Villa Crespi la scorsa settimana e posso dire con certezza che l’esperienza è stata straordinaria, esattamente come ci si aspetta da un ristorante di questo livello.
Dal momento dell'accoglienza fino al dolce finale, ogni dettaglio è stato curato alla perfezione. Il servizio è stato professionale, attento e mai invadente. Il menu all carta che ho scelto è stato un viaggio attraverso sapori raffinati ed equilibrati, con ingredienti di altissima qualità sapientemente lavorati.
Per quanto riguarda la recente terza stella Michelin, devo dire che non ho percepito particolari differenze rispetto alla mia precedente visita quando il ristorante ne aveva due: l’eccellenza era già evidente. Ogni piatto racconta una storia e porta con sé la firma inconfondibile dello chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo, con un perfetto equilibrio tra tradizione e innovazione.
L’atmosfera di Villa Crespi, con la sua location affascinante sul Lago d'Orta, rende l’esperienza ancora più unica e memorabile.
Un ristorante che continua a confermarsi tra i migliori in Italia, dove ogni visita diventa un ricordo indelebile. Assolutamente consigliato!
