We were today June 22, 2025 at Villa Crespi for our wedding anniversary, the first time in this beautiful place, cared for in everything, we ate very well, very kind waiters, nice welcome, very attentive to the whole place and very beautiful, very clean, we took photos with the chef, only knowing his simple, easy-going and helpful ways with everyone, we noticed a lot of coldness, he greeted us and left immediately, we thought he would stop to talk to us a bit, since I am a fan of his, I follow all his TV shows, I was a little disappointed, however, congratulations again for everything

We had been dreaming of Cannavacciuolo for a lifetime: the dishes are truly incredible.
We were disappointed by a few things:
1) When we arrived at the table the waiter asked us if we wanted a welcome glass (which we didn't have the chance to choose and which weighed on the bill +80€), for me if it's welcome you offer it to me, otherwise you let me choose it or at least make me understand that I will pay for it;
2) We had booked when there was another minus and my boyfriend was super happy to be able to try the red mullet. We asked the waiter if, since the menu had changed, we could REPLACE the turbot with the red mullet (which was on the à la carte menu). The waiter told us in an unpleasant and very strict way that this was not possible and that if we wanted the red mullet we would have to order it "on top". To our “ok no thanks”, he also commented “but it’s just one more dish” (yes, are you paying for it then?)
3) Before the pre-dessert the waiters came with the cheese trolley to offer us a cutting board and we, evidently full, declined. We saw this scene at all the tables and it seemed like a really useless attempt at upselling.
I just want to say one thing: the people who sell lunch at your place can be rich but also super humble people who work a lifetime to fulfill this dream and I think that given the price you need to pay more attention to who you have in front of you, and to how much you can please the customer (e.g. We came from Rome and spent half our salary, how would it have hurt to settle for the red mullet?)
That said: it’s an experience that I will carry in my heart beyond these things that made me feel bad

Complete experience, stay at Villa Crespi for one night and dinner at the restaurant. Everything was taken care of right from the booking stage with easy communication even by email. Since our arrival, every detail has been taken care of with attention and warmth. The staff is incredibly prepared, present without ever being intrusive, capable of making you feel special without forcing. The service in the room is orchestrated with precision, real smiles, perfect timing, punctual but never pedantic explanations from highly trained guys. Each course is told without mincing words because it is the dish that speaks and the ingredients that have an "enormous" flavor even if in fact they are dishes with traditional ingredients. The stylish room is very welcoming, considering that you are in a 19th century building so no overly technological ambitions. We also made use of the SPA with a full body massage which is worth experiencing. The buffet breakfast offers very high quality choices starting from exceptional pastries and savory choices of the highest level, it does not make you regret the quality of the restaurant experienced the previous evening. A true and full experience that I will always carry with me.

Villa Crespi is an ancient home of industrialists and is now home to the Cannavacciuolo restaurant. I recommend it to be pampered by good food.

Siamo stati ospiti a Villa Crespi e l’esperienza non ha del tutto soddisfatto le nostre aspettative.
Il menu che abbiamo scelto è stato impeccabile sia alla vista che al palato.
Peccato per il servizio… non all’altezza di altri ristoranti della stessa categoria.
Appena ci siamo seduti ci hanno proposto un calice di benvenuto chiedendoci se potevano offrircelo, solo alla fine abbiamo scoperto che ci era stato addebitato nel conto. Per BEN 3 volte abbiamo chiesto se potevamo avere la carta dei vini ma purtroppo non è MAI arrivata. Abbiamo preso due calici, il primo concordato mentre il secondo è stato servito senza che fosse stato scelto.
La location, sicuramente molto bella a livello di struttura ma risulta poco curata negli spazi esterni.
Quando stavamo uscendo con la macchina siamo dovuti scendere per aprire manualmente il cancello.
Ultima nota, in tutte le precedenti esperienze non ci è mai capitato di non incontrare personalmente lo Chef. Peccato…
