We celebrated our dream wedding in this wonderful oasis of well-being and couldn't have wished for a more beautiful location. From the planning stages to the celebration itself, everything was superbly organized, and the entire team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional.
The atmosphere, the food, the wine, and the service absolutely delighted both us and our guests. We especially appreciated the straightforward process and the reliable support throughout the entire preparation. This allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our special weekend.

Dinner was perfect. Our waitress, Alexandra, guided us through the evening with charm and ease. The menu is concise yet comprehensive. We ordered the surprise menu once and à la carte twice. The portions are unusually generous; everyone will easily leave satisfied. The cozy dining room where we sat was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The dishes and the stories behind them were wonderfully presented. The absolute highlights were the bread tortellini, the Black Orange dessert (fermented orange), and the excellent selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Highly recommended!

Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast, and very friendly staff.
HOWEVER, even though I booked and paid for the stay in full, my boyfriend was asked to sign the dinner bill. The bill had his name on it.
Beware of these kinds of "details" in 2026.

Pool and hot tub water lukewarm, verging on cool.

We spent two wonderful days at Hotel Bad Schörgau shortly after Christmas, staying in a premium suite.
We would especially like to highlight the exceptionally good food: creative, regionally inspired, and of a very high culinary standard – every dish was a delight. We were equally impressed by the team: the staff are courteous, warm, and attentive. You feel welcome and personally cared for from the very first moment.
The hotel itself is a small, special place that exudes tranquility, style, and authenticity. Everywhere you look, you can sense the owner's attention to detail and personal touch – a place you'll want to return to.

The high expectations we had for this spa hotel were not met. The hotel's common areas are very welcoming and the staff is very friendly, however, we found numerous flaws that could be improved with a little more attention. First and foremost, the water in the pool and tubs was too cold, so much so that no guests were able to venture in; the spa was too small, especially the relaxation area, which on weekends couldn't accommodate all the guests present: a few more loungers would be enough.
The first day we arrived, our room had separate beds, and only the next day (after three requests to reception) did they join them with a sheet, which didn't really solve the problem, as we were sinking in the middle.
Finally, the half-board restaurant was good, but the service was excessively slow. We had booked a dinner at their gourmet restaurant, Alpes, a Michelin-starred restaurant (which also features the name Alpes), by email a month in advance. However, once we arrived in the lobby, we were told that it was impossible to dine at the gourmet restaurant they call the "Alpes experience" because our reservation wasn't recorded. So we were redirected to the half-board restaurant, which, while we liked it, hadn't been our initial choice. The website is also quite confusing.
