A wonderful family-run trattoria with excellent, plentiful cuisine and warm service that makes you feel at home, even if it's your first time there. A special mention goes to the owner, who is very kind and friendly. Recommended if you want to enjoy excellent stockfish and good wine!

The takeaway Chitarrina allo Scoglio was fantastic (unfortunately I hadn't timed my train correctly), but the staff was wonderful, and 3, 2, 1... the box was ready to go! A historic, welcoming place full of history. Highly recommended.

Where: just a two minutes walk from Ancona Train Station. Mood: very local chill, super pleasant. Food: WoW good, first to last line on the menu. Price: very fair, from set-menu to their peculiar dishes. Staff: very accommodating, professional, quick as you like, kind … with a really nice “touch of here”. —> Certainly worth a visit, enjoy !

The Meal

10/09/2025: From the outside, I expected a more refined place, but inside it actually looks like a rather unkempt restaurant, at least aesthetically speaking: tasteless flooring, ditto furnishings, plastic plants... luckily, the food is excellent and the service, although a little too informal, is efficient.
16/08/2025: Fabulous location, especially on summer evenings. On Saturday night, we dined with a local band playing in the background. Excellent food and excellent service. Prices are reasonable for the location. Recommended.
