Ristorante Francesca In Matera

We stayed this evening in this beautiful place. We were treated with kindness and professionalism.. Excellent food, we had the ravioli stuffed with exceptional pork not to mention the mixed platter of cheeses and cured meats.. Excellent fruit and dessert! We will return with pleasure 😍.. Highly recommended!!

Excellent restaurant in Matera...among the stones...everything delicious but not cheap, 4 of us went...I suggest the lamb chops, tagliatelle with lamb ragout and taralli, tripola maritata and orecchiette with fava beans and tomatoes and cardoncelli ...go there you won't be disappointed

A la fin de notre visite de Matera, nous nous sommes retrouvés près de la place San Pietro Caveoso à la recherche d'un restaurant. Cela peut sembler surprenant mais - à 20 H- beaucoup d'établissements étaient fermés. Grâce à Trip, nous avons isolé le Francesca, tout proche. Doté du macaron vert (lauréat Traveller's choice) c'est généralement bon signe!... Nous y avons dîné sans réservation. L'endroit est assez original. La salle principale est creusée dans la roche. Le service est poli et efficace. Les plats peuvent être qualifiés de bonne "cuisine familiale". Nous nous sommes faits conseiller pour les vins. Pas de regret, nous avons fait des découvertes.... Rapport qualité/prix tout à fait au rendez-vous. Terrasse en façade fermée à cause de la météo pluvieuse.

Excellent restaurant that I certainly recommend for anyone going to Matera. Located in Sasso Barisano, it has very well-prepared and delicious dishes, I recommend the orecchiette among the first courses and the desserts made by Francesca are excellent. The interior is also beautiful and the service is courteous and friendly.
