Friendly waiter, spoke English Cave ambiance, music in the background jumped around from 70’s rock to 90’s grunge with a bit of soft jazz, 80’s pop, etc. I had the tomato salad with local cheese, Wife had a mixed salad. She had Turbot cooked in a bag with fruits of the sea, I had Sea Bream with potato puree flavored with lime and saffron & a shrimp. Couldn’t taste the lime, otherwise all was ok. Had some local white wine, and a sherry like dessert wine; decent though not special. Portions small – both secundi’s. Probably designed with antipasta & primi’s in mind. Almost all seafood!

Concluding with coffee — both an intense espresso and a milder americano — felt like a fitting Italian close. Prices are premium, yet aligned with Forte dei Marmi’s exclusive beach scene. Gilda succeeds in offering a memorable seaside dining experience, with moments that verge on outstanding.
