We have been frequenting Enoteca San Nicola for several years now, I would say at least 15 years ... at first we were curious about the very interesting and almost "zen" cuisine proposals for the way they were presented, today ... we are always curious! Something new pops up every time among the classics and the new is very tasty! Parmigiano biscuits filled with goat cheese worked with aromatic herbs, accompanied by jams that enhance the flavors ... I am not in the habit of photographing the dishes because my mind already acquires them and the taste buds start tasting them even before the camera ... but it would be a photo to show here!
Interesting cellar, wines also by the glass and half bottles for those of us who only need a touch of red or white!

SAN NICOLA WINE RESTAURANT, I had been to this restaurant about 30 years ago and it had remained in my heart, it was managed by a gentleman who was clearly passionate about wines and good food, on Saturday evening I had the opportunity to return, and it was a wonderful feeling and dinner, the management is still the same even if it has passed to the daughter. The ancient convent of the 17th century welcomed me into its intimate and romantic rooms. We had dinner with:
RAVIOLI filled with porcini mushrooms and potatoes with blueberry reduction a delight to the palate and an excellently measured filling - perfect portion
STICKS of chicken with mustard and honey with potato quenelles well-assorted dish, delicious
BITES of beef with house curry, coconut milk and cashews with Venere rice, soft, juicy meat and exhilarating to the palate, the addition of other ingredients make it gourmet and sensational.
Wine .... a splendid cellar and therefore a wine list worthy of a 5 star superior hotel, of the best starred restaurant, a fantastic positivity in reading the various labels, we took a wine from the Cantina La Stoppa - La Macchiona 10 years later - year 2002
Since we had an appointment with friends in an ice cream shop in the center of Bobbio, we preferred not to take dessert (it will be for next time).

Service in the dining room, fast, attentive and sympathy that exudes.
Thank you ENOTECA SAN NICOLA, what a restaurant must leave me with is that I had such a good time that I wanted to return as soon as possible.

I returned after years, the environment is as I remembered, warm, welcoming, collected. Lunch didn't disappoint either...I remembered the tagliolini spring, but also the gnocchi I tasted...mmmhh how good!

Ristorante ubicato in una chiesa sconsacrata (se non erro), con piccole salette arredate con gusto e mobili antichi, molto tranquille e riservate.
Piatti ottimi che richiamano la tradizione gastronomica locale, al contempo strizzando un'occhio all'innovazione: per fare un esempio, cito la vellutata di lenticchie gialle con latte di cocco e crostini di focaccia. Personalmente ho gustato i tagliolini al ragù di cervo e parmigiano, la coppa caramellata al Gutturnio con prugne al mosto d'uva e le quenelles al cioccolato fondente con salsa di fragole, ed ho trovato tutte le pietanze squisite, preparate con materie prime di qualità cucinate in maniera impeccabile e servite con una bella presentazione.
I tempi di attesa sono stati più che accettabili, ed il servizio svolto in modo cordiale, attento e simpatico. Infine i prezzi sono onesti, pertanto consiglio a tutti quelli che si trovano a Bobbio di passaggio o per una gita a questo borgo medievale molto caratteristico di prenotare un pranzo o una cena da ristorante enoteca "San Nicola".
