28/02/2024: I came to this pastry shop inspired by how other people were talking about the hot chocolate and the eggnog cannon, and what can I say: this is precisely one of the times when I was right to trust other reviews. Hot chocolate takes me back to the homemade one when I was a child, with the right mix of cocoa and chocolate. Adding fresh whipped cream only improves the taste. The cannon, however, remains the top of the range experience. The pastry reminds me of the technique with which Cosenza croissants are produced, nice crunchy; while the eggnog is simply stellar. Few times in Piacenza have I been able to delight my taste buds with an eggnog that actually tasted like eggnog and this is a clear example. I really want to come back to try more from the menu. The internal environment transports you to another era and welcomes you with its wealth of details. The only advice I can give is to clean the lamps more consistently, because some cobwebs were visible. For such a chic place, it's not a good presentation. However, it remains a small detail, when compared with the delight of the rest.
