I stopped for lunch to eat on a day at the beach, I still booked because it fills up easily and I ate delicious moscioli with a sea view. Mr. Franco is a nice person and the professional staff but with a snobbish feeling you have to be less haughty you are not a fool! Nice atmosphere, has a long history and good location

Excellent restaurant with traditional menu and a truly unique location.

The place is wonderful and the place directly on the sea and especially in the evening is magical. The staff is courteous and pleasant (with some exceptions😏) and the service is good, unfortunately the food was not entirely satisfactory. Good starter of mussels marinara but there was tow in too many mussels (🤨); the gratin mussels were good but a little dry and should be served hotter. And then the spaghetti with moscioli... sore point. A truly miserable portion that was too small, a little bland and overcooked. Big huge disappointment. Cover charge 4 euros (3 slices of bread) absolutely excessive but obviously you pay for the location. The glasses of wine just 1 finger to wet your lips. 44 euros each...I would say a little too much...we brought 2 friends from Milan who were sure they would make a good impression and instead they won't go back again...really a shame!!

Overrated food but lovely location

Place full of history. Perhaps one of the oldest structures on the Portonovo coast. Suggestive location right on the sea. Menu not extensive but intriguing dishes expertly prepared. The catch is undoubtedly fresh. Courteous and helpful staff. Fast service. Good experience. I went back again last night and confirm my positive notes. I recommend booking well in advance (10 days)

We had dinner last night. The food was fantastic: fresh fish, generous portions, fair prices, a fantastic location (just a stone's throw from the sea with a breathtaking view), kind, attentive and non-intrusive staff. I would like to underline an unusual but very positive aspect. Immediately after paying, my wife felt slightly unwell (not due to the food or the bill, but to the excessive heat): the owner, Edoardo, was very kind, he took a cot, the machine to measure the blood pressure. A lot of professionalism, combined with kindness and altruism. Everything was excellent, even in the final off-schedule. We will definitely be back.

We went to see the beach accessible to people like me in wheelchairs. By showing your pass, the access barrier opens for you, and you park near the restaurant. It was 1.30pm, the place was packed, but Edoardo who welcomed us, promptly found a table for 3 inside the place, and let us use the self-service service, giving us the opportunity to savor the excellent cuisine. We also met Cav. Franco, 90 years old, full of energy that would make twenty-year-olds envious. I asked if we could take a photo together, and he promptly offered to pose. At the end of the meal, he first brought us biscuits and meringues, then the fruit, and when he learned that we had not tasted his spaghetti with fish, he followed us to the car park after we had already said goodbye and thanked him, with a taste that we consumed before leaving it. Lovely place, people with old-fashioned helpfulness and kindness. An absolute must go for the magical atmosphere it exudes and the excellent food. Thanks Franco and Edoardo.
