Hotel near St. Mark's Square, on a quiet street.
The room was outdated and unfinished. The bedding was uncomfortable.
The bathroom had pretty mosaics, but the shower door was broken, and there was limescale in the toilet. The room was excessively hot! It was impossible to sleep at 23 degrees Celsius. To turn off the heating, you had to open a window. There was a terrible smell on the last night.
There is a courtyard, but it's inaccessible.
The breakfast was very basic. No real bread! There was either a dense sliced loaf or a defrosted pastry (which was returned the next day if not used because it was rock hard). Everything was low quality: ham, toilet paper... It's not worth 4 stars.

If you visit Venice I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was amazing, the rooms were spacious clean and I felt extremely comfortable compared to the Airbnbs we stayed here honestly. Save yourself all the hassle with Airbnb rentals and stay here as they allow you to store your luggage while you explore the city. It’s also walking distance to so many places!

Honestly, can’t say enough good things about this place. Great people, service and location. They also partnered with a glass making company and got a free tour. Easy 10/10 experience

The Hotel Ai Die Principi has a beautiful location right on the canal. With its own restaurant, the Principi not only offers breakfast by the canal, but also in your room for a small surcharge. There were four of us (two children and two adults) and we booked the Family Suite for one night through Booking.com for around €300. We had a small balcony in our suite, the windows and floors were decorated to match Venice, and the suite was air-conditioned to a pleasant 23 degrees. I had to give it a small negative point because the room was damaged when we handed it over. Photos attached. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the restaurant; I was already too tired to put the children to bed. But luckily there is a minibar in the room. Breakfast was okay. You can get a better breakfast out. If you want to explore the city after checking out, you can leave your luggage there.

Our recent stay at the Hotel Ai Due Principi in Venice was a truly pleasant experience and highly recommended. From the very first moment, the treatment received by the staff was exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to attend to any request with professionalism and a smile. We especially highlight the constant involvement of the hotel manager, who ensured our experience was impeccable at all times.
Throughout our stay, we felt close and personalized attention, something that made a significant difference to our trip. The hotel team not only responded diligently to our requests but also anticipated them, genuinely concerned about our well-being.
As a courtesy, the night before our departure, they presented us with a bottle of artisanal champagne, made by themselves, a detail we greatly appreciated and reflecting the dedication and care with which they manage every aspect of the accommodation.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the treatment received, especially to the hotel manager, whose attention and professionalism made our stay undoubtedly unforgettable.
We recommend Hotel Ai Due Principi to those seeking a welcoming, caring experience with exceptional customer service in the heart of Venice.
