had a beautiful stay at villa angela ~ up high in taormina which worked out great for us as we hiked various trails in the area! wonderous time to visit, may, due to all the wild flowers in bloom ~ kept me thinking of the tennyson poem "if i had a flower for everytime i thought of you...i could walk through my garden forever" ~ brought back many memories while on those walks; lovely staff, beautiful artwork within the hotel, great views of mama etna as well xoxo blessings to all xoxo
We spent three nights here at the end of April. What a fantastic experience. Our room had a full view of Mt Etna and the sea. Every staff member was unbelievably courteous and friendly. The shuttle from the hotel to Taormina centrale was so useful. Special shout outs to Andrea and Sam. We can't wait to come back!
Dreams are made of this. Probably the best description I can give. First time visit and its extremely rare we revisit anywhere again simply because there are so many other places to go things to see. So we got home and rebooked twice to go back in 2026. This is our happy place. Congratulations to all that work so hard to make this happen.
It will soon be our fifth visit to Hotel Villa Angela, with our first stay being back in 2007, then again in 2008, 2009, 2024 and now soon 2026.
Quite simply, it has become our favourite holiday destination anywhere in the world.
Everything about Villa Angela is special, from the warmth of the staff, to the beautiful decor, the atmosphere, the views across Taormina and Mount Etna, and of course the stunning suites. The Leonardo da Vinci Suite remains our absolute favourite and somewhere we always look forward to returning to.
There is something very genuine and relaxing about this place that keeps bringing us back year after year. It feels less like a hotel now and more like somewhere familiar and special to us.
