Not easy to review due to the obvious ups and downs that this hotel contains which needs a good refresh. Let's start from the price: the 4*S are absolutely disproportionate to the hotel's services (each star must correspond to a level of service): the (oriental) staff are kind, but inadequate for a 4*S, as are the rooms (old and not at all soundproofed), the reception (which in a 4*S must be 24 hours a day while from 6pm you will no longer find anyone (no one) as well as during the lunch break, unfortunately the cleaning in many cases is also summary in the common areas, spa and alpine village (unfortunately poorly held with cobwebs, it would be an incredible gem). Let's say it's a great 3* The cuisine is in line with expectations. No organization of excursions for guests, nor activities (another thing normally expected in a 4*S). Hope you don't meet families with children because the hotel does not have dedicated and separate spaces (pools and play areas) (especially from the spa) and there is no supervision, so you will always find them underfoot if the parents don't care. ..the only truly 4*S part is the aesthetics and the truly beautiful and well-kept massage-relaxation rooms, as well as the view. I forgot in the hotel garden there is an area dedicated to bees which is an honorable project in itself... but not recommended for those who don't like flying insects because especially at breakfast you have to share it with them. In summary, if you find offers in the low season and are looking for a good 3*, give it a try, but in the high season and if you want a 4*S I would think twice.

Much quieter in Verdins than in Schenna. Nice outside area. Everything is easily accessible with the Meran guest card
