06/04/2025: I don't know the Massimo of 'before' but the one of today, I say this because I have read some negative reviews, a bit here and a bit there, among the comments online, on the main social networks, and in the local press, a very 'skimpy' number tell of a menu no longer up to the level of the past!
Since I was a child, I remember hearing about this restaurant several times, from friends, family and acquaintances, in an uninterrupted loop: "Massimo al lago (...) Massimo al lago (...)"!
Personally I must say that Da Massimo you can eat tasty local cuisine at a truly honest price.
The tasting menu, which is 90% and perhaps even more of the dishes that come out of the kitchen, includes a simple but genuine cold seafood appetizer, a series of hot seafood courses, two very abundant first courses, such as spaghetti allo scoglio and gnocchi agli scampi, lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate, followed by, as second courses, a sufficient fried seafood and a grilled seafood, also with breadcrumbs, dessert, digestive and/or coffee at the price of €38.00, €40.00 on holidays, what more could you want? It is certainly not fine dining but it has its reasons! Recommended for those looking for substance and not appearance!
03/04/2025: Wir waren nicht das erste Mal bei Da Massimo. Aber es überrascht uns immer wieder, wie vorzüglich die Speisen zubereitet werden. Es ist keine Haubenküche, sondern eine ehrliche, wohlschmeckende Küche, detailliert aufgetragen. Auch die Weinauswahl ist sehr ordentlich.
Der Service war sehr aufmerksam; wir waren also rundum zufrieden!
