This historic venue has been a real institution since the seventies, when my father-in-law, a native of the town, went with his wife and daughters in tow. Unfortunately, I personally had never been there, and unfortunately I'm writing because I ate divinely (well, fat reigns supreme!!!) The excellent pici, the delicious fusilli with black cabbage, the sliced with tears of happiness and perfect cooking , tasty flavor and softness that melts just at the sight...a fabulous house wine. Kindness and presence at the service with excellent quality-price ratio... stop by and add a stroll around the keep and the streets of the center of Castiglion Fiorentino after lunch (or dinner).

Bistecca, buon vino, olio degno di nota, atmosfera romantica. Era la prima volta e torneremo presto, siamo stati benissimo.

Siamo a Castiglion Fiorentino, dentro le mura di un bellissimo borgo. Troviamo una piazza che sembra disegnata per come è bella; qui si staglia una deliziosa terrazza dove Marco, autentico oste toscano , maneggia bisteccone di chianina di circa 2 kg medi, selezionate con cura e, cotte con grande maestria.
Marco ci accompagna insieme al suo ottimo staff per tutta la bella cena e ci racconta molto della sua Toscana: panzanella da bissare, salame, capocollo al finocchietto fantastici ed una caciotta toscana dei monti, indimenticabile. Verdure, patate al forno e cantucci finali freschi ed “azzuppati” nel vin santo.
Bella carta dei vini; noi scegliamo un rose’ molto interessante.
Se carne di livello volete mangiare, avete trovato il posto per voi!!
