Excellent dishes, a mix of tradition and innovation

Good, but not great! Good food, the starters are better than the main courses, but the fried fish needs a rethink. Either the plate is too big, or the portion is too small! Waiters shouldn't stand around chatting on the stairs, and then, what a terrible mistake! They don't clear the table until everyone at the table has finished eating. They should know this! Also, don't abandon a table, especially if it's a quiet evening and there are plenty of waiters. Just one person taking orders is not enough; you can't wait almost half an hour to order!

I went to Mimmo, a charming restaurant in Le Castella. The restaurant is informal and suitable for families and people of all ages. The owner is friendly, simple yet brilliant, and the staff is very helpful and cheerful. Their jokes, never intrusive, help create a pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent, with a varied menu, especially seafood: fresh and perfectly cooked. The "seafood fantasy" appetizer with eight tastings is very good: I recommend the trofie with pistachio pesto and clams and the paccheri with seafood. The fried mixed seafood is a true specialty. I couldn't try dessert because I was full, but I'll definitely be back. Top.

The service was friendly, attentive, and punctual, with perfect timing and no long waits. I only had one small oversight: when I ordered the sea bass fillet, he didn't ask me which type I preferred, bringing me a dish different from what I had imagined. I must say, however, that it was a very pleasant surprise, as the quality and flavor were truly excellent. The wine selection, chosen at the waiter's suggestion, was also greatly appreciated, and proved to be a perfect match for the dishes. ➡️ Absolutely superb value: a restaurant that combines excellent cuisine, professional service, and great customer care. Locale che non affaccia sul castello ma sul porticciolo, forse questo risulta meno pubblicizzato rispetto ad altri, in cui abbiamo mangiato molto molto bene, spendendo però un filino troppo. I piatti sono buoni, impiattati in maniera classica, il cocktail di gamberi è una ricetta storica, forse fuori moda, ma qui è buonissimo, tanti gamberi e la salsetta è deliziosa. Le trofie vongole e pistacchi sono fantastiche, i secondi che abbiamo assaggiato sono ben fatti ed il pesce, ovviamente, è freschissimo. Il prezzo non è scandaloso, forse un tantino alto.
