Very good classic dishes, super agnolotti!

If only there were more restaurants like this, classic, homely but at the same time with a touch of class, authentic flavors. I recommend the Monferrato appetizer and the tagliatelle with rabbit ragù. It's worth the trip. See you next time.

Lights and shadows at the Da Maria restaurant. The environment is pleasant: the outdoor area is well equipped with umbrellas, corners for relaxing with low tables and armchairs and a courtyard used as a car park which can accommodate up to 10-12 cars. Inside, memorabilia from the Grande Torino and a vintage Vespa "Ostrich" give the place a nice retro feeling. The service was slow and at times awkward: several minutes passed before someone arrived to take the orders and a very, very long time passed between one course and the next. But let's get to the real sore point: the food. Normal starters: classic veal with tuna sauce and raw meat which, alas, leave us quite indifferent. Completely wrong first courses, too far ahead of cooking: the saffron and castelmagno risotto had a very pale yellow color (perhaps they had run out of saffron) and the castelmagno was not received (perhaps they forgot to add it). The agnolotti are the other more than sore point: totally overcooked, soggy when chewed and without sauce. Fortunately, the cheek leaves a beautiful memory: perfect cooking, tasty meat, a good dish in short. Finally the price: to be revised... downwards; starter, first course and second course at €50 seems a little above the level (considering that the first courses were completely wrong). In the Pinerolo area, for example, there are many farmhouses that offer a rich fixed menu with 5-6 starters, 1-2 first courses, Piedmontese mixed fried food, dessert and coffee for €35/38.

Massima soddisfazione per l'accoglienza riservataci, ci siamo accomodati in un tavolo preparato per sei , quali eravamo e tuti comodi e ben distanziati dagli altri tavoli. La mise en place perfetta, con bianchi tovagliati, posate e bicchieri giusti. Dopo aver consultato il menù, le ordinazioni e gli arrivi dei piatti, sono stati rapidi e debbo dire che anche solo la vista ci ha riempito gli occhi di golosità, che a seguire si è trasformata in grande soddisfazione per il palato. Abbiamo preso il giro degli antipasti completo (voto 10) e a seguire gli agnolotti fatti a mano (voto 10) I dessert golosi ed appaganti, io personalmente invece di un dolce ho preso il piatto dei formaggi piemontesi (da solo valeva il viaggio). I vini ci sono stati declinati a voce e con possibilità di passarli in rassegna nella vasta esposizione su alcune pareti, dove ben suddivisi per qualità ed invecchiamento abbiamo potuto decidere quelli che più ci allettavano. Ottimo caffè e digestivi offerti, per un conto che ci è sembrato giusto per la qualità del pranzo. Il locale è pulitissimo ed anche i servizi danno buona accoglienza. Alla fine siamo anche stati invitati a visitare le cantine, praticamente un museo del vino di qualità e la possibilità di vedere un autentico "infernot". Non possiamo fare altro che ringraziare per questa piacevolissima esperienza, che speriamo di ripetere quanto prima, Complimenti a tutti e per tutto.

Rediscovering traditional Piedmontese dishes, with a pinch of flair, was the pleasant discovery we made while having lunch in this restaurant in the Asti area. The quality of the ingredients, the kindness of the staff did the rest. Absolutely recommended, but with advance reservation, otherwise you risk not finding a place.

Discovered by chance and for convenience (it is close to where we stayed), as soon as we entered we were welcomed into a familiar but very professional environment. Warm, clean and comfortable environment. Great service and tasty local cuisine. The tagliolini with truffle are very good. Well-stocked wine cellar with many types and prices available. We were happy and satisfied, so much so that we returned the next evening. Advised

Posto consigliatissimo. Menù ottimo, forse la migliore battuta di Fassone mai assaggiata. Tagliolini da 10. Buono il resto. Basta scelta di vini. Il personale ti fa sentire a tuo agio e si vede tutta la preparazione del cuoco. Location comoda per il parcheggio. Si vedono un po' gli anni ma resta accogliente e pulita. Prezzi un pelo sopra la media ma credo ne valga la pena. Da provare.
