Exceptional dishes... lots of people but impeccable table service... 4 star environment and not 5 because there was no fan even though we were outside... but everything was superb... finally a very honest bill

We had a divine dinner with typical dishes from the Tuscan Maremma. Friendly staff and attentive to the "whims" of some customers 😏

A dinner in the spectacular and well-kept historic center of Magliano in Toscana, with an adjoining walk on the "Cinta Walls".
Dinner as expected. The quality appetizer and the truffle tagliolini with their inebriating aroma are highly recommended.

A dream becomes true ! We've wanted to go to Guido for years but it was never meant to be. Usually you couldn't get a place or the timing wasn't right. Now in July 2024 we have finally done it. One thing in advance: One of the most beautiful and best dinners we have ever had. We tour and travel a lot and have visited thousands of restaurants, but you can hardly find anything like GUIDO in this world. But first things first:
*Greeting. If you come from the promenade and turn to Guido, you will come across plastic chairs and an inconspicuous ambience. There is nothing to suggest that one of the best restaurants in Tuscany lies here. We had made a reservation (strongly recommended by phone) and were shown to the place by a very friendly young lady. We were amazed at what came after the plastic chairs. A typical Tuscan restaurant with around 100 seats. We took a seat in a typical atmosphere that gave my wife a look into the kitchen and the work of the chefs. She loves watching the chefs at work.
* Service. Then our waiter came. An extremely likeable man who even spoke German. We wanted to eat the menu and were given the menu which was in Italian and German. Positive: The menu is manageable with around 18 dishes. We like to drink the house wine Vino de la Casa. First the white wine. The wine was excellent and at the right temperature. Perfect! Afterwards the waiter recommended the antipasti starter, priced at 15 euros, sufficient for two people. Half meat-free. The starter is a must and typically Tuscan and was at the highest level: the finest ham, freshly baked bread in olive oil and special sauce, enough black olives about 30 pieces, bread, homemade sausage (tasted excellent, the best I have eaten in Italy so far) , with a baked bread with sausage spread, pickled porcini mushrooms, a special highlight fried artichokes (my wife couldn't calm down, they were so good), cheese with a special spread of jam.
Particularly worth mentioning is that you never had the feeling of being rushed even though the restaurant was sold out. At the end of the starter, the waiter asks about the next course. My wife took: Gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and sauce, a large portion that was easily enough for 2 people for 12 euros. I ordered tortellin filled with spinach and a meat sauce for 12 euros. Both were beyond any doubt. A pleasure with a very special touch from Guido. At the end of the first course the white wine ran out. The waiter noticed immediately and we tried the Vino rosso de la Casa. The red wine was also a dream.
* SECONDI ......Now of course the national dish of Tuscany is still missing: WILD BOAR / Chinguale. Unfortunately, my wife has to stop after the first course... because, as I said, the food is very sufficient. I ordered a small portion of wild boar in a special red wine sauce with fried potatoes. The wild boar was very tender and soft, perfect in taste and, together with the local red wine, an explosion in the mouth. The fried potatoes were too much for me too.
In between there was always a nice conversation with the waiter who also served the neighboring guests excellently. At the end I had an espresso for 2 euros and my wife had homemade tiramisu for 5 euros. The tirimasu was brilliant and that sounds really stupid, but I also tasted the espresso better than ever before in Tuscany.
We are musicians and are often forced to eat out a lot while traveling. But we have rarely experienced something so great.

A dream evening in a dream location with lots of great and nice guests. At the end, GUIDO also came out of the kitchen and sat down at his table with documents and a calculator. A friendly, comfortable smile on both sides and the certainty of “DOLCE VITA - CARPE DIEM”

Si mangia benissimo, i sapori della vera Toscana e si paga un prezzo onestissimo.
Segnalo il tris di tartufo, gnudi, tortelli tartufo e patate e per finire i tagliolini.
