Ho trovato questo ristorante un po’ per caso . La vista sul lago di Como è semplicemente incantevole. Ho iniziato con un ottimo riso ai filetti di persico. Ma il piatto forte della serata è stata la tagliata di manzo: cotta alla perfezione, tenera e saporita, servita con un fondo ricco e ben bilanciato che ne esaltava ogni boccone. Anche gli accompagnamenti erano curati e deliziosi, segno di grande attenzione ai dettagli. Il personale è stato impeccabile: gentile, disponibile e sempre pronto a consigliare con professionalità. L’esperienza complessiva è stata davvero memorabile. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chi cerca un’ottima cucina, un servizio eccellente e una location da sogno.

I found this restaurant somewhat by chance. The view of Lake Como is simply enchanting. I started with an excellent rice with perch fillets. But the highlight of the evening was the sliced ​​beef: cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, served with a rich and well-balanced base that enhanced every bite. The accompaniments were also refined and delicious, a sign of great attention to detail. The staff was impeccable: kind, helpful and always ready to advise with professionalism. The overall experience was truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent cuisine, excellent service and a dream location.

The "Da Giovannino" bistro restaurant presents itself as a welcoming place with a truly pleasant atmosphere and extremely kind, attentive and thoughtful staff. However, despite the courtesy and inviting environment, unfortunately the culinary experience did not live up to expectations. We ordered four courses, but unfortunately two of them disappointed us considerably. 1. Robiola pudding: the dish was supposed to enhance the flavor of robiola, but unfortunately the taste was completely covered by the predominant flavor of mashed potatoes. The expected contrast between the creaminess of the cheese and other ingredients was not perceived, making the dish monotonous. 2. Calamarata with pumpkin cream and bacon (we asked for it without seasoned ricotta): this dish, despite having interesting potential, was a real disaster. The pasta was poorly cooked and tasted bland. Ok there was no addition of mature ricotta but the pumpkin dressing was too sweet and not sufficiently balanced. The pasta, instead of being surrounded by a tasty sauce, was devoid of character, with the pumpkin dominating excessively without adding depth to the dish. Moving on to desserts 3. Tiramisu: the consistency was completely wrong, with the ladyfingers reduced to a liquid mush. It lacked that spongy, creamy texture that makes tiramisu a timeless classic. 4. Apple Pie: This was not memorable at all. A fairly ordinary dessert that left no mark, lacking that special touch you expect from a restaurant of this level In conclusion, although the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was relaxing, the dishes failed to convince us. Considering the price and expectations, the quality of the dishes should be improved to justify a second visit.
