A historic restaurant in Castana, just before the town center. We ordered an appetizer and a gnocchi tour with four samples: the gnocchi were good, as were the sauces. Fair prices and generous portions. Reservations are recommended.

Ristorante dal Gek, a name that's a guarantee.

The gnocchi are unbeatable! For this reason, I try to visit this restaurant at least once a year. My favorite toppings are guinea fowl and porcini mushrooms, or smoked ricotta. I especially appreciate that you can have just a half portion of gnocchi; a full portion is simply too much for me! The atmosphere isn't fancy, but homey and welcoming, with obvious mountain-style touches. They recently renovated the counter, which is truly beautiful! The courtesy of the staff, the delicious dishes (both first and second courses), and the ample parking make this restaurant truly remarkable.

We stopped last night by chance, the meat was delicious, the side dishes too, the location is beautiful, the waitress is the only flaw, when taking the order she told us to move.....plus she always has a very annoyed face, I'm of the opinion that if you don't know how to be around people you should change jobs!...for the rest everything was excellent.

Beautiful restaurant on the border between the Astico and Posina Valleys, surrounded by the beauty of the Venetian Prealps. A warm and welcoming place with typical mountain décor and a menu focused primarily on potato and game gnocchi, but vegetarian options are also available. I had roe deer gnocchi, which I found delicious and plentiful, and venison stew with polenta, which was very well cooked and delicious. The others at my table also had gnocchi, which I tried with porcini mushrooms, gorgonzola, and walnuts: very good. The only downside was that we asked for baked potatoes, but instead they served us chips, claiming the baked ones were sold out. No problem, we ate them anyway. Perhaps it's best to let them know in advance, in my opinion. The prices were fair, and we were also offered a complimentary digestif.

Ci siamo fermati per caso, dopo oltre quarant’anni che ci passo davanti, durante un bel giro in vespa. L’ambiente è molto raffinato e curato. Dispone anche di alcuni tavoli all’esterno dove d’estate si può gustare una cena al fresco. Piatti di buona qualità, abbondanti e a prezzi onesti. Non abbiamo provato i gnocchi che, ci dicono gli amici, essere eccezionali in questo ristorante. Fantastiche comunque le fettuccine alla Fagianella e tartufo. Per non parlare delle ottime costine di maiale ai ferri.
