This place was recommended to us by some locals. It's a simple place with about thirty types of pork cheeks on display, to give you a sense of Lazio. We had a carbonara, made differently than the one I'm used to, but very good. It might have lacked a bit of salt, but it was well executed and the cheese wasn't overwhelming, so it was very pleasant. The meatballs in tomato sauce were good, and the prices were reasonable, needless to say. Highly recommended.

I visited this restaurant twice during my short stay in Albano Laziale. I had the same waiter both times, who was incredibly welcoming and patient with my very limited Italian - a stark contrast to another restaurant there where I did not feel welcome at all. I had the rigatoni radicchio e gorgonzola both times. As a vegetarian, I found this delicious and as many have commented, the portion size is very generous. I tried the homemade tiramisú and homemade ciambelline al vino rosso and both were excellent. Would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent trattoria, friendly staff, Gino will welcome you with a smile. Ask for advice...everything is delicious, great value, in a cool, quiet atmosphere. Carbonara, matriciana, pesto and tomato... Enjoy your meal. A great stop on one of Rome's most beautiful pedestrian walkways.

A trusted favorite for many, many years! And it's only getting better, with menu additions that make the experience more varied. By the way, the tripe is magnificent! The beans with pork rinds are also delicious.
The first courses are still super plentiful and excellent, with a few additions. The tagliata are still there, but there's also a delicious abbuccio. It remains a true tavern, without frills but always pleasant.
