If you are looking for an authentic korean restaurant, this is the right place. Owner and the staff in the kitchen are Koreans. Food is delicious and the vibe is very cozy. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Very nice place, not sumptuous but elegant in its simplicity with attention to detail. Very kind and helpful staff. It was the first time I tried Korean cuisine so I went for a dish close to the Italian palate, japchae, sweet potato noodles with vegetables. Good flavor and very delicate. I imagine it reflects what I would eat if I ordered it in Korea since a good part of the customers were Korean (which I suppose speaks positively about the authenticity of the recipes). I wanted to try a second one too but the abundance of the first one had already filled me up. Next time I will dare more considering that I appreciated the side dishes (in particular the black beans and onion kimchi) which are offered for tasting and included as an accompaniment to the dish. More than honest price and further sweetened by typical Korean candy. I will return with company to try the rest of the dishes.

After several days of indulging in rich Italian cuisine, I craved something spicy and comforting. I discovered Ristorante Coreano Goong in Florence, located on Borgo Ognissanti, just before their lunch service ended. We ordered kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, and spicy pork bulgogi, accompanied by soju. The stews were flavorful and satisfying, with the kimchi jjigae offering a perfect balance of heat and depth. The spicy pork bulgogi was tender and well-seasoned. Goong also offers Korean barbecue with tabletop grills, providing an authentic dining experience. The restaurant is known for its authentic Korean flavors and attentive service. While it may not rival top Korean restaurants in cities like New York or Seoul, Goong delivers a genuine taste of Korea in the heart of Florence. If you're in the area and longing for Korean food, I recommend giving this place a try.

There is an elderly Korean couple and their daughter. It's the same as real Korean food. Jeyuk is absolutely delicious. Soybean paste stew, anchovy base soup, tastes just like Korea ㅇㅇ

It's a Korean restaurant with a classy atmosphere. The owner and staff are all attentive and friendly. I visited with my mom and aunt and had a delicious meal. Kimchi stew is the best for me!

It’s so delicious it will make you cry. Soybean paste stew is truly a work of art! Perhaps because it is run by a Korean, the stew really tastes like something your grandmother cooked in your hometown. My mom says it tastes better than most Korean food eaten in Korea. The peach is crispy and the bibimbap and tteokbokki are really delicious!! When I go to a Korean restaurant abroad, the food is sometimes too sweet, but here it tastes like steamed Korean food. If you're thinking about it, I highly recommend Korean restaurant Gung.

Everything is good, especially seafood ramen, kimchi soup, grilled pork, bulgogi, it tastes like eating in Korea. Beautifully decorated shop Fragrant, light vanilla scent.

Goong è senza dubbio il miglior ristorante coreano a Firenze e uno dei migliori che abbia provato in Italia. Frequento la Corea da oltre vent’anni e posso confermare che la cucina qui è autentica e curata nei minimi dettagli. Abbiamo assaggiato diversi piatti, tra cui pajeon, pollo fritto, tteokbokki e sundubujjigae: quest'ultimo, in particolare, è il migliore che abbia mai provato. Il servizio è eccellente, il personale è gentilissimo e l’atmosfera calda e accogliente. Una vera gemma per chi ama la cucina coreana!
