Very good fish, good first courses. Service: kind, good, ready to joke, they make you feel like "old people and a long-standing friendship, even the first time they see you. I would give the place a bit of freshening up... ...please don't forget to get the desserts , superb

Delicious sausage and spinach pies as well as pappardelle with wild boar and paccheri with sausage and porcini mushrooms. Excellent pork loin and veal with tuna sauce. Exquisite desserts. Very honest prices and courteous and attentive staff. I want to go back to try the pizza which is certainly just as good. Francesco Sorrentino

Mi trovo molto bene in questo ristorante, i gestori sono sempre gentilissimi, si mangia bene. Io scelgo sempre il menù del giorno, mi piace perché ogni volta trovo qualcosa di diverso, sempre molto buono. Poi, a fine pranzo, mi faccio portare i cantucci, ne fanno di sapori diversi e io ogni volta me ne faccio portare uno per tipo. Buonissimi!

Truly excellent pizza, long leavening, crunchy, digestible, well seasoned and beautiful to look at. In my opinion one of the best in town. Pleasant service and welcome. The place could use some renovation in terms of furnishings and a slightly "stale" air. I would only like to advise the dear and talented pizza chef Alessio, at the time of the bill, to issue a detailed receipt, so that the small discounts that he often applies can also be transparently appreciated. However, the quality/price ratio remains excellent for the quality of the product.

18/11/2024: On Saturday 18 November my wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the good dishes taken. Gnocchi with duck ragout and duck in porchetta, sweeter. Everything special, good, welcoming, kind and prepared. We will be back soon. Thank you

Ristorante Al Travato

08/09/2024: The “Al Travato” Enoteca in Monterchi is probably the only 'always open' restaurant, from Monday to Saturday, that can always be found open in the small Tuscan village. It is located in the upper square, near the fortress with the tower and the clock. What is certain is that in such a small and almost completely abandoned village it is really difficult to find anything else; if it weren't for that much 'talked about' painting by Piero della Francesca there probably wouldn't be a living soul! The Al Travato wine shop offers very simple but decidedly abundant dishes, unfortunately the food didn't win me over! The prices are not cheap, just move a few km towards Umbria to eat the same things at a more advantageous price!
23/08/2024: After visiting the Museum of the beautiful Madonna del Parto by Piero della Francesca we walked up the Monterchi fortress and had lunch at the Travato wine shop which was the only place open for lunch. The table was under the foliage of the trees in the square and despite the hot and sunny day we had a really good time in the cool. Inside there is also a wine and food shop. The food was excellent and the service was very kind and friendly.
