A pleasant discovery just steps from the Colosseum. We ate very well, spending little for the quality. The carbonara in particular was among the best I've ever had, the cacio e pepe and artichoke alla giudia were excellent, and the tiramisu, revisited using a slice of delicious homemade panettone, was interesting. The staff was also attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Cleto is a restaurant where the experience begins with the view: from the restaurant, you can practically see the Colosseum.
The restaurant is impeccably presented, with meticulous attention to detail and a truly hospitable atmosphere.
The food was all truly delicious, with carefully prepared dishes and authentic flavors.
The real strength remains the hospitality: you feel right at home, welcomed warmly and naturally, despite being in one of Rome's most iconic areas.
A place you'll gladly return to, to eat well and enjoy a unique setting.

Best service I had in all of Rome. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Theyve been in business as a small family restaurant now for over 25 years, and for a good reason. The food was top tier as well. If you get the chance, please stop by and have some excellent food.

Our go-to restaurant when we're in the center of Rome. We've been trusting Cleto for our meals near the Colosseum for 10 years. The service is spectacular, and their signature dish, pennete ai sette peccati, is unbeatable.

Cleto is an excellent restaurant near the Colosseum, where you can enjoy excellent food and friendly, courteous service. The classic Roman first courses are excellent; for an appetizer, we recommend the bread with porchetta romana and onion jam, which is delicious. We were warmly welcomed by Giuseppe and the other staff, who were kind and welcoming. This family-run trattoria is definitely recommended if you're walking around the Colosseum.
