One of the very first Chinese restaurants in the city; I remember going there as a boy, it's remained true to its roots, free from any modern gimmicks. A safe bet for those who don't want any unpleasant surprises.

The crispy duck I had was very authentic and delicious. I ordered chili sauce, and the owner said it was quite spicy, and it really was spicy, though not as spicy as many people say; it wasn't actually that spicy.

EN: Very nice people, genuinely the definition of hospitality! We ordered and the food came in within 10 minutes. Any of the rice dishes is very tasty and goes great with any of the tofu dishes. They have a very nice chilly oil! What is truly touching is that I told them it's very tasty, and before leaving they gave me 500ml of their chilly oil, no charge! COMFORT food and very kind people! IT: Sono gentilissimi! Il servizio è veloce (<10 minuti per l'ordine di piatti riso e tofu con zuppa). Commentando sull'olio piccante, mi hanno regalato un barattolo 500ml. La Giada is a historic Chinese restaurant in Livorno, and a place I've returned to time and time again. Sometimes the food is a bit bland and not particularly flavorful, but it's still enjoyable, and the prices are reasonable. At busy times, if there are a lot of people, the service can be a bit slow.

Excellent flavors. Excellent prices. Generous portions. Of the four restaurants of this type we tried in Livorno, this one is the best. Recommended.

Everything's good. But if you order something different from the original order, they won't bring it to you. Especially when it's crowded.

I went there for a friend's birthday. We opted for four menus, then ordered four beers, two bottles of water, and 32 grappas. The food was average (for what they charge, it's okay), the staff was fast, even too fast, and friendly, and the dishes were well-presented. I'll go back because it's cheap and because overall, it's a nice, quiet place. The final bill was €25 per person. Not much for all the food.
