Ristorante Cinese Da Liu In Trieste

This is "the" Chinese restaurant in Trieste. I wrote it six years ago, and after several visits over time I can confirm it: always excellent. The quality of the food surprises every time - carefully prepared, light, authentic dishes, without the usual "tricks" of fast food such as starch, excessive salt or heavy sauces. Here you eat well, period. And you feel it from the first bite. The tables and chairs, stylized but comfortable, are available both inside - in a markedly traditional, well-kept, perhaps a little narrow environment - and outside, on a quiet pedestrian street perfect for a relaxed evening dinner. The price follows the quality, but fortunately does not reach it completely: it remains honest, especially considering what arrives on your plate. Da Liu remains the best Chinese restaurant in the city. And perhaps also one of the few that has managed to make people talk about Chinese cuisine in terms of elegance and coherence for (many) decades. Recommended with your eyes closed.

Very nice and well kept. The kitchen is excellent. Just a little small in space.

A very nice clean and tidy restaurant with lots of tables to sit in, an atmosphere with nice people, kind and fast waiters, high-end Chinese food with a nice wide menu, normal honest prices, in short a very nice experience.

I have always eaten well; very fast and very clean. you can order for takeaway and pick up personally; also outdoor tables in a nice pedestrian street a stone's throw from Piazza Goldoni and the Ospedale Maggiore

Ottimo ristorante cinese con tavoli anche all’esterno dove potete mangiare il classico cibo dei ristoranti cinesi ma con una marcia in più. Ottimo anche il menù A e B ad un prezzo interessante per chi vuole risparmiare o non mangiare troppo solo a mezzogiorno. Prezzi un po’ più alti della media ma ne vale la pena

The best Chinese in Trieste without a doubt!

I picked up takeaway, but prices have "increased" recently to the detriment of the quality of the products. From the first times I visited it I noticed the food was more cheap and less refined.

Compared to a couple of years ago, the place seems to have become a little "Westernized", both due to the presence of many Italian staff and the flavors of the dishes. For the rest, generous portions and low prices!

I think this could be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Trieste!!! There’s “Wok hei” 鍋氣 in the fried rice!!!! And the staffs are nice! Also they have English and Chinese menu. Recommend to people who likes to try Chinese cuisine!!!

A pleasant discovery. Good food and courteous staff. And I confirm again after the second visit. A little tip for the kitchen? A little less oil. That's all!
