08/11/2025: Beautifully renovated and now boasts a very appealing ambiance. The location and the view are first-class. The coffee is delicious and the aperitif selection is very varied. The bartender does a fantastic job, one that not all the waitstaff can always match.
Now that the evenings are getting cooler, the patio heaters are a welcome addition, but we suggest wool blankets to ward off the sea breeze. Keep up the good work!
05/11/2025: A charming restaurant on the Chiavari seafront, offering express cuisine and meticulously presented dishes. The overall quality is good, but the experience leaves room for improvement, especially in terms of value. I ordered fried anchovies and grilled calamari with Roman cabbage puree: both were tasty, but the portions were small for the price (€15 for the anchovies). The draft beer (Stella Artois) was acceptable for a commercially produced dish, but the bread arrived after the main courses; it would have been better served first, perhaps while waiting. I finished with a chocolate flambé dessert with blueberries and a panna cotta base, an interesting idea, but I waited almost half an hour even though it looked ready. Only after I noticed did the waitress intervene, informing me that "it takes a lot to cook." The final bill came to €46 for a medium beer, a small beer, anchovies, calamari, and dessert: a price I find high considering the quantity and the likely preparation with frozen ingredients, as in the case of the calamari (anchovies are still in season, but I wouldn't rule them out; it wouldn't be a bad thing anyway; fresh fish at all costs is a myth). At the cashier, I was offered a coffee, perhaps to compensate for the wait: a welcome gesture but not a decisive one. In short: three stars. The place has good foundations, but they could increase the portions, manage time better, and pay more attention to the service. The problem isn't my appetite, but a certain tendency to overcharge for services that don't always justify it.
