Excellent restaurant. A more unusual menu than other restaurants. Overall, good food, well executed, excellent service. Everything was perfect.

The food is a bit cramped, tables for 3 are a bit small, service is average, boiled meat is excellent, other dishes are not very good in quantity, prices are a bit high, excellent wine cellar.
I stayed one night at the Locanda "Cece e Simo" in Bergamo with my boyfriend, treating ourselves to a relaxing weekend exploring a new city, just the way we like it.
The inn is in an excellent location in lower Bergamo, convenient for getting around both on foot and by public transportation; the bus is easily accessible and allows for easy travel.
Upon arrival, the atmosphere immediately strikes you. It's not very large, but it's intimate, well-kept, and welcoming—a feature I truly appreciated.
A pleasant surprise awaited us in our room: a breakfast tray for the next day, which we could enjoy in the comfort of our room. Alternatively, upstairs, a coffee machine, a kettle, and chilled water are available—an original and unusual idea that makes our stay even more enjoyable.
The room was cozy and well-organized, equipped with a TV, mini-fridge, a small terrace, and a colorful, fairly spacious bathroom. I particularly loved the green walls, which made the space feel fresh and relaxing.
Upon leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners at the reception desk: he was very proud to tell us the history of the recently renovated inn and also gave us some information about Bergamo. He was kind, helpful, and very friendly, leaving us with a great final impression.
A short but truly pleasant stay: highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-kept, welcoming place in a strategic location for visiting the city.
😉☺️🌼

We stayed one night at this inn, renovated in June of this year, and had dinner there. Booking was simple and intuitive, made through their website and a virtual assistant: freedom and discretion are the strong points. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included, an alternative and much appreciated option. The only drawback was the rather intrusive noise from the drains.
The dinner was equally worthy: excellent casoncelli and excellent tartare...we had hoped to see it being prepared (as mentioned in some reviews), but unfortunately the room was too crowded. Bergamo is a beautiful city, and Cece and Simo's Locanda is no exception.

I hadn't been back for several years, but friends and I used to come here for the fifth cut, which we're greedy for. Last night, December 30th, I also ordered tripe and kidneys, which I found less flavorful than in the past. The rest of the family, however, really enjoyed the egg with truffle, the rabbit, and the boiled meat. Impeccable service (also considering the gluten-free options requested). Prices are perhaps a bit high; perhaps something could be done about the wine markups and the cover charge... The atmosphere, as always, is pleasant and well-kept; the lights on the veranda tables are perhaps too low.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and fast service. Food: extensive and unique menu, good food and attentive presentation, portions too small, poor quality/quantity/price ratio.

I returned after a long time, trying the vegetarian options, even though you already know the legendary tartare 😉. The seasonal pizzino is finger-licking good; the pumpkin roll is a truly unexpected surprise, truly delicious and with a perfect mix of textures; the gnocchi with Jerusalem artichokes are delicate but have personality in their flavor and the crunchiness of the Jerusalem artichoke chips. Finally, the sbrisolona, which I adore, not too sweet, delicate, with lots of almonds and vanilla sauce. I'll leave the "menu" (it's a book!) to you to discover... 😉 The location is always welcoming, well-kept, and original. Just one note: the lighting is very soft, pleasant, but I think a spot of light on the tables would be nice. Thanks for a lovely evening!
