We're Spanish, and there was a mix-up during our reservation. We arrived when the kitchen was closed, and they still served us and provided excellent food and wonderful service. It was the best food and service of the trip.

08/10/2025: The best by far food we had in Rome! It doesn’t catch the eye, but if you look closer, locals eat there which is very positive, and the staff is very sweet, polite and helpful! The house wine is great also which was also a very pleasant surprise.
07/10/2025: For me it was the best restaurant in Rome. The food is absolutely amazing, everything I tasted (and we visited twice) was perfect. I strongly recommend the lamb if you like and the veal. The desserts and pasta were great too. The service was a bit rude but I can see that they were very busy and it's part of the atmosphere.

21/09/2025: Today I celebrated my daughter's baptism for lunch at Checco's and was thrilled with what they did! As soon as we arrived, despite the confusion (we had to arrange place cards, centerpieces, cake, etc.), they were patient in helping us find the best solution. They organized the aperitif outside on a terrace, a fairly spacious spot. The food was very good and the portions were generous. Everyone was very accommodating and super kind. I had a great time and will definitely be back.
