Ristorante Capogrossi In Fiumicino

We were greeted by a very kind and hospitable young man, the food was good and the service was fast! If I were to pass through Fiumicino again, I would definitely return.

It's a classic '70s restaurant. I think we've raised the prices a bit, and if it survives with the competition, it's probably thanks to regulars like us. Unpretentious. Unpretentious, but down to the essentials. Friendly staff, but again, nothing memorable, nothing forgettable. Let's just say it's a restaurant that does its job, period.

At Capogrossi we spent a very pleasant evening overlooking the fishing boats parked at the mouth of the Tiber a few meters from the sea and ate dishes, both cooked and raw, that were truly excellent. Excellent service, a place (inexplicably) not too crowded and a sea air that spiced up an evening where it was impossible to find a flaw! Even the bill leaves no room for unpleasant surprises. Air-conditioned and quite chic internal room, pleasantly rustic external space. Warmest compliments to all the staff! We will definitely be back!

I am updating the review several years later and confirm that it is worth stopping for a quiet dinner. Although the outdoor courtyard with tables is practically right next to the road, it is not affected by passing cars. The seafood salad is excellent, as are the fried anchovies and spaghetti with clams. Unfortunately, the fried calamari was not fresh, but with frozen fish. The honesty of the waiter and all the staff, who are generally kind and helpful, is admirable. Average discounted price. Old review: We got to know the restaurant thanks to some promotional sites and I must say that it fully met our expectations. The place is welcoming and spacious with a view of the Darsena. The entire menu is very well-kept, traditional cuisine based on fresh fish. Average price. What struck us, however, was the service: the kindness and friendliness of the girls and the welcome of the owner made the entire lunch a pleasant experience. Recommended

Very kind and attentive staff, but the dishes are nothing special... Almost raw rice, octopus salad and seafood salad practically identical to each other, calamarata with Taggiasca olives without the aforementioned olives, sea bream in a potato crust with the skin... Unfortunately I can't mention the quality/price ratio, because I was a guest and I don't know how much the dinner cost, but I certainly wouldn't go back.

Dinner with friends. Very good and very fresh raw appetizer. First courses up to par. Turbot and exceptional desserts.

The photo speaks for itself. The food was truly absolutely exquisite, not to mention the abundance of dishes! We had a fried dish for two, and a portion each of these gnocchi with scampi and truffle cream that were nothing short of delicious. The service was very fast and the place is really nice
