A very nice place — the food was delicious and well-prepared, the pasta turned out just right: flavorful, perfectly cooked, and with a rich sauce. I also calculated the calories using the service shown in the photo attached to my review. It was super quick and convenient — I’d definitely recommend trying it! It makes tracking your diet really easy and helps you understand exactly what you’re eating.

It was anything but touristy, which we both enjoyed immensely. The cacio e pepe was the best I've ever had. Thank you! The house white wine, unfortunately, wasn't very tasty. The service was very friendly, but not particularly attentive.

O lugar é um restaurante bem clássico, muito bem montado. Adoramos, a comida é deliciosa, parte das massas são feitas no próprio restaurante, também servem um vinho da casa muito agradável. O atendimento é bom, tudo veio bem rápido.

Sono capitata in questo Ristorante per caso e, da quel momento, per tutti i pranzi, durante il mio soggiorno a Roma, sono andata qui. È il locale dove si respira la storia e la tradizione. È un ristorante a conduzione familiare e tutto viene fatto con passione. Nonostante sia frequentato da tanti turisti, non è un ristorante turistico! Ogni piatto rispecchia la tradizione romana, senza l aggiunta di sapori " nuovi " o contaminazioni. Porzioni abbondanti. Prezzo più che giusto Consigliatissimo.

Antica Osteria Da Giovanni

18/09/2025: Nice local restaurant vibe. Good food and friendly service. We enjoyed our evening there. Would definitely go again. There were mostly locals there I believe with some tourists mixed in. The pasta portions were maybe a bit smaller than what we got at other restaurants but that meant we were able to order the second course of meatballs and sausage. We were happy with the house red wine (1 bottle = 0,75l = 10€). Highly recommend. 2 starter + 2 pasta + 2 main + 1 bottle house red wine = 57€
16/09/2025: If you are not in a rush (service can bw a bit slow) and you wamt great, cheap homemade food in a local atmosphere, this is the place you. want to go to. Next but a bit outside Traversere, it is not touristy and really worth a try.
