Ristorante Cannavota In Roma

In Piazza San Giovanni, praticamente di fianco alla Basilica e a due passi dalla Metro San Giovanni, Cannavota è stata una vera scoperta. Cercavo un ristorante che proponesse cucina tipica romana di qualità e l'ho trovato. Visitato a pranzo il 5 luglio abbiamo subito prenotato anche per la sera . Una carbonara spettacolare con guanciale croccante al punto giusto, altri primi buonissimi. Ottimi anche i secondi. Il locale è la tipica osteria romana. I titolari cortesi e competenti. I prezzi onesti.

A treasure in the heart of Rome. We’ve eaten here 3 times over the last two trips and loved all 3 meals. Bonus was they were able to accommodate my gluten-free needs! We will be back the next time we come to Rome!

I was there last month. Pleasantly retro atmosphere. Dishes that focus on taste and satisfying proportions. Adequate account without peaks. Roman cuisine that satisfies well. Go there.

I enjoyed a magnificent experience at this Italian restaurant in Rome. The service was fast and efficient, ideal for those who value service. The pasta, simply extraordinary, stands out for the quality of its ingredients, maintaining the essence of a classic tavern. The quality-price ratio is excellent, making it a good option for those visiting the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. The traditional atmosphere, with a unique identity, makes each visit unforgettable and genuine. Highly recommended for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine.

We went to eat here with some friends and it was a pleasant surprise. Now accustomed to frenetic pace and places chosen more for the aesthetics than the substance of the dishes, this place was an oasis of peace. Well-cooked traditional dishes with generous portions, reasonable costs and friendly staff. The wait between courses is proportionate and allowed us diners to be able to chat pleasantly during the evening, which is unfortunately now rare in very crowded and chaotic places for my tastes. The only "negative" note found (which I notice in almost all restaurants) were the baked potatoes, which were not cooked properly. Highly recommended place

We wandered in by chance whole staying in the area for a night. The place has a lovely warm atmosphere with beautiful pictures on the walls. The menu is not extensive which is good if you want food prepared properly. We were not disappointed. The waiter and waitress looked like older couple (owners maybe) and prepared salads, dished out desserts and served food. Me and my 3 kids ordered fresh orange juice, straciatella soup, seafood salad, beef steak, pasta and grilled seafood with baked potatoes. The food was absolutely delicious and staff delightful. We finished with desserts and a glass of limoncello. We highly recommend this place. Prices were very reasonable. We even got kisses blown to us from a grand mother as we were leaving. If we ever come back to Rome, we will be back here because last night we not only got a taste of Italy but also it's warm hearted people.
