Ristorante Canal Grande In Venezia

Really lovely place, good drinks and kind staff - plus good music. However be careful of the service charge and the music charge, as it surmounted to €50 for the service and music on our €150 euro bill for 8 people.

The waiter was a handsome guy who introduced the dishes enthusiastically. The dining environment was comfortable and the meals were delicious. Although the Boston lobster pasta we ordered was not cheap, it was indeed delicious. The tuna onion pizza was also very good. It was a great first meal in Venice!

After a beautiful morning getting lost in the enchanting backstreets of Venice, we ended up along the Grand Canal and spotted Ristorante Canal Grande, which immediately caught our eye among the many adjacent touristy options. We were very pleased with our choice. We started with French oysters - very fresh and tasty - and a generous glass of perfectly chilled, dry Prosecco —an ideal refreshment in the midday sun. For my main, I went for a traditional local dish: Bigoli in salsa acciughe – thick, hand-rolled pasta in a rich anchovy sauce. It was very nicely cooked, al dente pasta and a deeply savoury, and full of bold Venetian flavour. Simple, honest food done really well. But what truly made this lunch perfect was the location—we sat right on the edge of the canal, with a direct view of the iconic Rialto Bridge. Watching the gondolas and vaporettos pass by while enjoying great food and wine was pure magic. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and a setting you’ll remember forever. So very cool here; friendly staff and they brought out headphones for guests right before 11pm (due to Venize noise ordinance) so the music can go on!!!! Will come back to try the food!

The location is great. The staff was kind to us. Mom asked to cook seafood paella faster, it was brought in 27 minutes (although they said 40)))). Pasta Bolognese is quite tasty, with a lot of minced meat. There was cheerful Italian music. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Wir hatten schon gegessen - aber die Atmosphäre mit Live Musik hat uns angezogen- also gab es noch ein paar Cocktails und Desserts - das Personal ist super freundlich. Danke - Enrico - wir wären gerne noch mal gekommen. - sind aber schon wieder zu Hause! Bis zum nächsten Mal - Grazie Mille !
