Ristorante Calafata In Porto azzurro

A true gem in Porto Azzurro! We dined at Calafata Osteria and can't recommend it highly enough. The restaurant overlooks the sea, creating a relaxing and romantic atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a proper seafood dinner. The staff was simply impeccable: kind, attentive, and always smiling, they made us feel welcomed and at home. But the real star was the seafood: incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and showcased in every dish without too many frills, leaving room for the authentic flavors of the sea. And above all, the restaurant's sea view and the fact that the bill was truly perfect—in fact, we thought we'd spend more—made the experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Friendly service and excellent food

The seafood antipasti platter (cold) was top-notch; it was sushi-quality, absolutely outstanding. The risotto, wow, you have to be able to get that right. Succulent and cooked to perfection. Only someone with a lot of experience can do that. I highly recommend this restaurant. Of course, mass tourism is over in October, and the kitchen isn't under the same pressure as it is in peak season. So, there's plenty of time for good Mediterranean cuisine. October 2020 25. The Calafata restaurant is located directly on the Porto Azzurro harbor. It has an indoor dining area and an outdoor area overlooking the harbor. There were two of us, and we ordered a tuna tartare appetizer that was simply perfect: the cut of meat, the seasonings were excellent, and the meat was of the highest quality. We then ordered a plate of textbook spaghetti with clams, and the sea bream and baked potatoes were excellent. The restaurant's value for money is excellent: fresh, tasty fish at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the service was a bit below expectations for the location and the menu. We waited a while for our spaghetti with clams, and the waiters were rushed. Regardless, this is a restaurant I would recommend, especially for a dinner with friends or as a couple.

Nice place overlooking the harbor. Friendly staff. Superb first courses: spaghetti with squid and artichokes and Margherita parcels, delicious. Recommended!
