After seeing the positive reviews online, we made a reservation on their website and came in during lunchtime to do a wine tasting. The staff was very friendly and so knowledgeable about wine. We had a great time learning about each wine that we were trying. After the wine tasting, we ordered a few things to eat and got recommendations for what wine to have with our food!

Very good experience. I tried the Sangiovese wine taste and Sabrina explained everything about the wines which made everything richer. Tried the selections of cheeses and ended with the Ravioli and Tagliolini with black truffles. Couldn’t be happier; definitely recommended. Grazie mille!

Title: Great wine selection, but disappointing service from our server We visited Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina because it was recommended by Wine Spectator, and the wine list truly is impressive — an extensive and well-curated selection of Italian wines. We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn’t a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn’t very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Normi didn’t explain things clearly and wasn’t very friendly. She insisted the plates weren’t meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good — but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I’d still recommend the place if you’re interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

Great wine bar. We were looking for a light lunch with wine & had seen this place recommended. It didn’t disappoint. The chicken liver terrine with vin santo & sage was divine as were the cheeses. Great selection of wines & lovely friendly service.

Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina – Florence A beautiful wine bar directly across from Palazzo Pitti. We had a lovely evening and were able to choose from a truly excellent selection of wines. We particularly liked the detailed, knowledgeable, and warm explanations of the wines. A great place for wine lovers, one we highly recommend.

A really nice wine tasting experience. The host will take his time explain the origin and story behind each wine which is a nice touch. You will get to sample three different wine from the local region. Our party went with a white flight and a red flight.

Delicious wines and excellent cuisine. They advised us on local wines and they were perfect. Exceptional service. It's a shame we couldn't go back another day.

If I could, I'd give it 6 stars. Given the location, you might think it's a tourist spot, but that's not the case. Excellent welcome and service. Well-prepared dishes and noteworthy wines.
