Almost a secret restaurant. Hidden in an alley off the main street of Catania. Excellent Sicilian food! Delicious. Delicious! The wait staff is super professional. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. This is our second time here! And we will be back here to celebrate New Year's Eve. Thank you. Barbara.

This restaurant is a 10 out of 10. Fresh ingredients, typical Sicilian dishes. The ambiance is very quiet and romantic. The service was excellent; I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We went to this restaurant based on the TripAdvisor reviews. It was great. My fish soup was absolutely delicious! My husband's squid au gratin was good, though it wasn't the kind of au gratin you'd find in France or the US. The customer service was exceptional. Thank you.

We enjoyed our meal here last year and had to use the location attached to the photo we took to find out what it was called so we could come back this year! Wonderful charming staff and delicious food. There are lots of restaurants in Catania but none could compare with this… and it has THE best name too! 😆

Este restaurante, con el extraño nombre en inglés era probablemente nuestro favorito en Catania. Estaba muy cerca de nuestro hotel, y tuvimos nuestro primer almuerzo aquí en Catania. El lugar estaba casi vacío, así que teníamos el restaurante para nosotros. Tiene un menú bastante grande. La comida era genial, y nuestra camarera era entretenido, y animado, y nos divertimos mucho aquí. Teníamos sopa de pescado, ostras, y un plato original de calamares au gratinado.

13/10/2025: We were there with 12 people for a pranzo, received a friendly welcome, and were seated. Then one delicacy followed another. Everyone was thrilled with the fresh Sicilian produce, which was beautifully prepared. La Locanderia is one of the best restaurants in its category that I've visited during my many stays in Sicily. To sum it up: Excellent 👌 Grazie, see you soon!

09/06/2025: It was a fabulous experience... we come from Turin, my wife and I were in Catania for work... and we came to them recommended on Thursday and Friday evening. The passion of the girl at the tables makes you feel the enthusiasm and love they put into it. And we found all this love in the dishes: they are one word FABULOUS. On the first day we had a fish soup, then paccheri with fish and almonds and then a fried food. The sauces were mixed together like on few occasions we have found. The desserts were also superlative. On the second day we varied with 3 other appetizers and a new first course of scialatelli always with fish, pine nuts etc. and then with a fish and eggplant skewer. Everything fabulous. Our compliments because we almost never write reviews but you made me think of Montalbano and how much he loved good Catania food. Congratulations, keep it up because we found all the love you put into your dishes. Andrea and Viktoria
