Ristorante Bar Papa Magiorin In Cantalupa

It had been a while since we were there and this time we all took dishes from the kitchen/grill (no pizza). They made us sit in an outside area that I had never seen, near the grill: very nice. Distracted service, slow in taking the order and initially surly (you take my order after half an hour of sitting down and then you rush me in an impatient way...?!? Not good). At the end some forced jokes and irony from the restaurateur. Apart from this, at the table we all ate in a disorderly manner; those who took the first course and then the second, finished at least 10 minutes before the others received their only dish from the grill... not to mention that the side dish arrived at the beginning, 30-40 minutes before the main course. Spaghetti with clams and fried calamari abundant but mediocre (little taste of the sea, but a lot of garlic). The grilled fish and meat were good too. I can't comment on the bill because it was offered by friends, I hope he had a discount even if I don't think so. Will I go back...? Not for now.

Last Friday we came here for lunch for the third time (the town doesn't offer much choice). We knew the goodness of the offer which was confirmed by well-cooked dishes, served with very little waiting in environments kept cool by ceiling fans, service as usual conducted with exchange of jokes and familiarity with other customers. The orecchiette were exquisite.

Large summer terrace, meat and fish grills on weekends and low prices are the strong points of this historic place. For a few years now it has also been making a very good pizza for celiacs.

A nice place, good food with good prices! Had a nice birthday, ate well! All fish based with an exceptional beer!!!

More than excellent value for money. All good and Antonio and Michele are fantastic. Spectacular mixed fried food today.

Excellent restaurant...Sunday lunch with family, I had a paella, very good and plentiful, who took the fried fish, equally excellent, tagliatelle with wild boar ragù super, grilled steak super, my granddaughter chips with breaded steak... Coffee water. No wine... All for 6 adults plus a child 135 euros... What can I say, the price is also excellent... we will definitely be back..... Recommended....

Nice place in the village, welcoming, good food, suitable for celiacs. Friendly staff, ready to answer any questions. I will return, I recommend it to everyone
