Ristorante Baita Tonda. In Cavalese

Baita Tonda Cermis is located at the intermediate stop of the Alpe Cermis cable car. I had lunch there on my first day and enjoyed it: despite the rather high prices, the staff was helpful and friendly, the food was good and served hot, and the decor was very pleasant. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the bar area. On subsequent days, I returned for a hot chocolate and the staff seemed less helpful: the girl who served us seemed listless, the wait for the table to be cleared was long, and the hot chocolates were served in paper cups, despite table service. The bar staff's customer service didn't seem particularly good, and while the restaurant experience was positive, this aspect lowers my overall rating.

All I can say is... well done!!! Good food and friendly staff, well done!!!

This restaurant deserves a much higher rating. Maybe in the past it had some problems but now they are definitely fixed. Food is excellent and service is fast. Totally worth it.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the service at the waiters' counter was poor. There was one super nice waitress, the others seemed offended. Next to the restaurant is a fantastic playground with mini buildings, including a castle, a church, houses, and a mine. Great for kids.

A mountain hut located at the intermediate stop of the cable car to Alpe Cermis. The restaurant has two areas: a restaurant and a bar. When you enter, you choose whether to eat at the restaurant or go to the bar for a simple sandwich. We stopped here for lunch and opted for the restaurant for its strategic location and the view. We ate well: tagliata and goulash, both good, average prices (also considering our location). The waiter who looked after us was kind and attentive. We had a good time and ate well. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? Since we had a good time, we decided to make a second stop in the afternoon before heading down to the village for a snack. The bar area, which doesn't have many tables, was busy, and the few free ones weren't yet cleared and were visibly dirty. However, after quite a few attempts to get noticed at the counter and in front of them, I managed to politely ask if they could clear a table for us and if we could order. We ordered hot chocolate with cream. They served it in a paper cup, I wasn't sure why (since the other customers had it in a glass), but it was still good. The next day we returned for a hot chocolate. Again, after several minutes of trying to get noticed (in front of the counter and register), they informed us that they had run out of hot chocolate (3 PM), so we decided to leave. I'm sorry to have noticed this lack of customer interest. I hope you'll improve on this aspect as well.

The food is very good. My advice is just a customer recommendation: "I fully understand the frenzy of those on the other end of the service line." However, I would like to leave a piece of advice: in my opinion, the welcome at the tables, the communication at the bar, and the service at the cash register should be improved... fundamental and strategic points for demonstrating friendliness and verbal courtesy.
