Ristorante Aranciara In Taormina

Thank you for your welcome, excellent dishes, superb terrace.

One of our favourite (if not top) restaurants we visited in Taormina. Homely food with great and simple flavours, yet still refined. They highlight local ingredients well!

L'Aranciara is a great place. Not too far from the main drag, but remote and secluded enough that it doesn't feel like the usual tourist trap. The cuisine is of an excellent standard: the dishes and raw materials are typical of the Sicilian tradition, but with interesting interpretations and creations, some very successful such as stuffed sardines. You need to be very careful when ordering the wines: we entrusted ourselves to the manager and ended up with a 45 euro bottle of Grillo (probably the most expensive Grillo in all of Sicily), but this was our negligence, we should have chosen we have à la carte wine. Apart from this slightly annoying detail related to the service, everything else was fine. Prices in general are a little higher than the rest of Sicily, but it's Taormina and walking around some places in the main street we've seen much worse...

Nice restaurant in the heart of Taormina. The food was delicious, service was courteous. Very tight seating, a little more space would be nice!

Charming little courtyard restaurant at lunchtime, shaded and tranquil. Food and service were both very nice, recommend the Angus Tortelli (super tasty creamy tomato sauce) and Macaroni Norma!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say it was an amazing experience. The quality of the fish is excellent: fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. Each dish was taken care of down to the smallest detail, both in appearance and taste, from the crudités to the hot appetizers, up to the first courses which were a true triumph of flavours. The staff was friendly and attentive, ready to recommend the best wine pairings to accompany the meal. The atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for both a romantic dinner and a lunch with friends. I will definitely be back!!

Wonderful place in a hidden corner in the center of Taormina. An internal courtyard that offers a bit of intimacy and the kindness of the restaurateurs who at the end of dinner gave us a wonderful bottle with some of their homemade limoncello! Super!

Food was decent. Had special Sicilian red prawns dish.

Superbe terrasse sous les arbres dans une petite ruelle de Taormine , à l'écart de la foule. Les plats sont très bons même si j'ai trouvé certains un peu cher. Service un peu trop rapide selon moi .

What a lovely oasis in the heart of Taormina! Really delicious food in a lovely setting. We went with our 10 and 13 year old for lunch and all loved it. Efficient and friendly service, nice wine and coffee. We had octopus and tuna tartar to start then swordfish ravioli, prawn and pistachio linguini and pasta with a tomato and beef sauce. All delicious! Go past the other restaurants before it with the pushy waiters outside (one is called Shelter) if you want somewhere calm away from the hustle and bustle.
