Ristorante Aragonese In Otranto

Went for dinner here last week. I had the orecchiette frutti di mare and it was magnificent! I was thinking it looked lovely but my goodness that first mouthful. My sister and I were the only people there that night. Which was very surprising considering how great the food was. It made our last night in Otranto a special occasion. My sincerest thanks to the chef/owner.

Insider tip: Small but perfectly formed. The ambiance is very nice. The food was excellent. We had the chitarrina con vongole. The pasta was homemade. It tasted absolutely delicious.

A very charming, intimate restaurant with an internal garden. The ideal place to enjoy good food in complete relaxation, just steps from Otranto Castle. The staff is discreet, everyone is very polite, and the service is excellent. We'll definitely be back!

We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. And it exceeded all expectations. We were already impressed by the beautiful ambiance. The owner was very kind and accommodating. I had grilled scampi with vegetables, and my husband had pasta frutti di mare. It was one of our best meals during our trip to Puglia. It's a shame we didn't stay longer. The wine was also excellent. We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant wasn't more popular in the evenings. It's just a stone's throw from the historic center, and you can enjoy your meal in peace. The price/performance ratio was absolutely fine. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Cozy little restaurant with outdoor tables, outside the tourist context of the historic center which is just 100 meters away. The dishes are freshly prepared and served with care and well plated. The staff is kind and professional. I highly recommend this place to enjoy the local specialties in absolute tranquility and without the fear of being bled

We stumbled upon this unassuming trattoria just beyond the city walls, its empty dining room initially gave us pause. Yet hunger and the late hour compelled us to stay. What fortune. We ordered the Tagliolini al nero di seppia and the Chitarrine alle vongole. Both dishes featured fresh pasta that clung to their respective sauces, each a liquid ode to the sea and generous portions of seafood (the vongole came heaped with nearly thirty clams). Not far from the overtrodden paths of the old town, come not for spectacle, but for honest, excellent seafood pasta.

Nice little restaurant secluded but only 50 meters from the historic center of Otranto where if you sit down to eat something you find the flow of tourists on your plate. Here we were divinely tranquil and relaxed enjoying delicious chitarrine with clams and grilled prawns with a side of vegetables spending on top of that a more than honest amount in relation to the quality of what we consumed. The owner is truly courteous and kind. Highly recommended.... definitely to return on the next trip to Puglia
