Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food

Honestly, that was an awesome experience. We had fun with the staff. We were 4 people. We had wine and food; everything was delicious. The restaurant was clean. The only minus was the seller traveling between tables to sell you their goods. Other than that, I fully recommend it.

We got approached by a staff member who offered us to eat there on our way out of the Piazza del Duomo. We asked if there were any tables available outside before agreeing and we were seated on the nearest table to the tower. The menu is available in Italian, English and French. We ordered pizza (Antonietta for 14.5€ and Chiantigiana foe 17.5€ + 10% by default for the service), which we really liked. If we saw the ratings before going in there we would honstely never agree to go, but we had an amazing experience with a beautiful view, and even a street performer that played music while we waited our dish. I think it is definetly worth to go there IF you seat outside, as the location is really exceptional. And the terrace is heated so there's really no reason to go inside. We did not encounter any problem with the service, the waiter just looked sincerely annoyed when we did not order any drink at the beginning, but I think he forgave us when we ordered a desert. However, a slice of what seems to be defrosted Tiramisu definetly wasn't worth 8€. Not very bad, but not too good either

The restaurant is very close to the tower, bright and welcoming. We were greeted by kind and polite people who took us to the table of our choice. Then we sat down and ordered. Our orders arrived in less than 5 minutes. The price was reasonable and spot on. The bathroom was very tidy and clean. Despite the many negative reviews, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited Antica Trattoria Antonietta in June 2025, on a Wednesday evening. Since it was a weekday, the restaurant wasn’t crowded, which gave the whole experience a special charm — peaceful, cozy, and atmospheric, right in view of the Leaning Tower. The pizza was truly delicious, with great dough and fresh ingredients. The Chianti Il Quercione (2021) was smooth and well-balanced — a perfect match for the food and the setting. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the bruschetta. It was way too simple, and the presentation didn’t match the style and location of the restaurant. A small detail, but noticeable. Still, we had a lovely evening. The gesture of offering us a postcard at the end was very sweet. Thank you for the moment — we left with a smile!

Sehr nettes Personal! Schönes Ambiente und die Pizza war echt italienisch lecker!! Preis Leistung völlig gerechtfertigt und auch die Flasche Wein wurde frisch vor uns geöffnet.
