Good value for money. Good food. The fried fish could have been more plentiful.

We had a lovely dining experience at Ristorante Al Vecchio Mulino, just a short 5-minute walk from Roma Trastevere station. The ambiance was warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxed evening out. We tried the Arrosto di Pesce, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavor, with a fresh, clean taste that really stood out. The Scaloppina al Limone was tender and had just the right amount of lemony zest without overpowering the dish. We also ordered the Spaghetti al Pomodoro, a simple classic done right — the tomato sauce was rich and vibrant, and the pasta cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the Trastevere area and looking for a good, honest Italian meal.

I have been frequenting this restaurant since it was managed by the "founder" Angelo Piroli, a competent and professional pioneer of catering as well as very friendly. Today his son Luca continues to manage in the same vein as his father, maintaining the quality/price ratio at very appreciable levels. I recommend Il Vecchio Mulino to all those who love to eat well in a quiet and welcoming environment.
