I have been frequenting this restaurant since it was managed by the "founder" Angelo Piroli, a competent and professional pioneer of catering as well as very friendly. Today his son Luca continues to manage in the same vein as his father, maintaining the quality/price ratio at very appreciable levels. I recommend Il Vecchio Mulino to all those who love to eat well in a quiet and welcoming environment.

We arrived somewhat by chance at this restaurant near the Trastevere station. At first glance we weren't sure we had chosen well but the advice is not to pay too much attention to appearances The food is really good as per the Roman tradition without too many frills. But the point of attention is the kindness and scrupulousness towards the customer which is truly out of the ordinary. Applause to the manager of the business who is wonderful Thank you so much

We went to this restaurant near us in the area, opting for the fixed menu of 30 euros per person. The starter consists of anchovies, mussel souté, gratinated mussels, seafood salad. The risotto with scampi cream, a generous dish and decent quality, while I liked the sea bream in a potato crust most of all and it was delicious. The menu is completed by Chardonnay d'Umbria wine and water, together with coffee (good) and sorbet (which unfortunately needs to be improved, as it tasted like ice with a splash of prosecco). The owners are 2 good people.

Buona cucina e ristorante tranquillo, abbiamo fatto questa esperienza optando per il menù fisso a base di pesce, ottimo il risotto alla crema di scampi e gli antipastini tra cui le alicette sott'olio e le cozze gratinate. Il personale gentile e cortese, attento ad ogni esigenza, ci ha dato anche la possibilità di festeggiare un compleanno. Esperienza da ripetere.

Good food and a quiet restaurant, we had this experience by opting for the fixed fish-based menu, the risotto with scampi cream and the appetizers including the anchovies in oil and the mussels au gratin were excellent. The kind and courteous staff, attentive to every need, also gave us the opportunity to celebrate a birthday. Experience to be repeated.

The pizza, low and crispy, is the classic Roman style: simple, tasty, always impeccable. But the real added value is the convivial environment, enriched by a mix of faces and languages ​​​​that come from every corner of the world. Worth a try, especially during the warm summer evenings, when Rome gives the best of itself.
20/05/2025: Simple place, cheap, tasty pizza but the waiter signaled us to finish and go because other people were waiting. You should not do that to customers.

12/05/2025: Family dinner party with twenty people in the middle of the week, family environment with the possibility of eating both inside and outside like we did, on the terrace overlooking the sport fishing lake. Despite the heat of Rome, the place was cool and dry. We had a great time from the service to the quality of the food. Excellent appetizers with focaccia, that evening the pizza service was also active, much appreciated by the kids. Tasty and plentiful first courses, try the half-sleeves in the long version!!!! Superlative grilled meat, of excellent quality and origin such as kebabs from Abruzzo. Assortment of desserts for all tastes. Abundant and close parking. Extreme courtesy of the owner and service staff. We will definitely be back. Update: birthday party with 30 people, I confirm everything as above with the flaw of a little slowness between one course and another.......
11/05/2025: Small farmhouse with a few farm animals. Pleasant internal environment. Dated toilets need to be redone.
