Ristorante Al Theatro In Venezia

Excellent cafe located next to the La Fenice Theatre. Chosen, on the advice of our host, for breakfast and afternoon coffee. The Espresso is discreet, not bad. The internal environment is refined and there is a wide variety of sweets and croissants in the morning. Frequented by the Venetians themselves, which for us was a guarantee that we had not ended up in yet another tourist venue. Very honest prices; perfectly average quality-price ratio. Service a bit haughty at times.

The location right in front of the theater is super nice. Sat in the sun and ate some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. My Sicilian was more than excellent. Will be saved again immediately for the next vacation. The service was very personable and very quick.

The pizza was delicious and freshly made. Unfortunately no fresh mushrooms. The waiters were attentive and the food and drinks came quickly. A small can of Sprite costs €7, which is more expensive than the house wine.

Pros: elegant environment, food prepared with quality ingredients (I know the bar service) and high-level pastry shop. Cons: the high prices, partly justified by the quality of the food and the location, and the chronic and annoying shortage of staff. The few staff at the counter have to go out of their way to serve everyone (always with great kindness), but the waiting times are always long and we often have to give up and go elsewhere. It is sad to note that a medium-high level commercial establishment, with a Master Pastry Chef student of Gualtiero Marchesi, who operates in the historic center of Venice, next to the prestigious Teatro la Fenice, which the public willingly takes advantage of, does not, however, take care of having enough staff to adequately satisfy its numerous customers, especially coinciding with shows in the theatre, when the turnout is greater.

Amazing food and coffee, female owner very rude and ignorant. Try to ignore because it’s delicious!

A pleasant surprise next to the La Fenice theater. It is a place with a lot of tourist traffic, but the staff is very efficient and not at all overwhelming in freeing up the tables. The pizzas are very good and the typical dishes, such as baccalà mantecato or pasta e fagioli, are very delicate and tasty.

Cheap cappuccino throughout Venice, at Marcusplatz €12-16, here only €1.90 and super nice service

We thought it was overpriced for mediocre food. We got 2 large portions of fried seafood at a smaller restaurant for less than half of the price of the 1 fried seafood platter here AND it tasted so much better.
